Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Is Robert able to move this from the dining room?

Answer: table

"...RoberT ABLE to..."

Dining room is an additional clue, as the dining room table is one important piece of furniture, as is the kitchen table. Of course there are many other kinds of table as well: coffee, end, water, periodic - wait, what?
2. Toxic hair products should be avoided.

Answer: Chair

"ToxiC HAIR products..."

No extra clue this time, just a chair to sit in whilst getting your permanent wave. Chairs come in a variety of shapes and sizes, all with the purpose of providing somewhere to sit down.
3. Did Reuben check in the park for his dog?

Answer: Bench

"...ReuBEN CHeck..."

The clue here is park, because a park bench is something most people have rested on at one time or another, whether whilst walking their dog or simply taking a stroll.
4. Watch Estelle carefully, as she might try to borrow your clothes.

Answer: Chest

"WatCH ESTelle..."

A chest of drawers is a good place to keep your clothes, or some of them at least. Other chests include hope chests and jewellery chests.
5. Going forward, Robert will need a bigger space for his clothing.

Answer: Wardrobe

"...forWARD ROBErt..."

A stand-alone wardrobe for hanging up one's suits, shirts, dresses and so forth sometimes replaces built-in closets, especially in older homes or hotels.
6. After you take off your gloves, eat your sandwich.

Answer: Loveseat

"...your gLOVES, EAT your..."

A loveseat is a two-person sofa, presumably so named because it is perfect for a couple to sit close to one another.
7. When I hear news of another disaster, I just have to lie down.

Answer: Sofa

"...newS OF Another..."

A sofa is a piece of furniture that is long enough to stretch out on for a nap, or for two or three people to sit upon side by side.
8. Help, Eric! Ouch! I sprained my ankle!

Answer: Couch

"...EriC OUCH..."

Couch is another word for sofa, and a suitable place to lie down after spraining one's ankle.
9. Sitting here, I learned that the word "Eskimos" should be replaced by "Inuit".

Answer: Desk

"...the worD ESKimos..."

The allusion to a place of learning was meant as a hint at a school desk, though of course many homes also have a desk or desks in them.

"Inuit" means "the people" and refers to the indigenous people of northern Canada. The singular form is "Inuk".
10. At the end of the day, Deb, Edward and Robert all turn in before midnight.

Answer: Bed

"...day DeB EDward..."

The whole sentence is pointing towards bed-time. Beds come in many sizes and even different shapes, though the firmness of the mattress is probably most important for a good night's sleep.
