Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Hatch Day" isn't just about chickens being born. It's about two sisters who also created a day for a nephew that they lost many years ago. During coronavirus they not only handed out backpacks full of supplies but they also distributed hand sanitizer and masks to the children. Who is this famous singer/actress that also won an Best Supporting Actress Award for "Dreamgirls"?

Answer: Jennifer Hudson

Jennifer and her sister, Julia, co-founded this day for a nephew who they had lost from gun violence. Little Julian King was an innocent victim in a shooting, which also took the lives of Jennifer's brother and his wife. The virus didn't stop the sisters from making an annual donation in August 2020. They still delivered 2000 backpacks filled with school items for children in Chicago. They donned their masks and hit the schools.

You may be thinking it's a small donation, especially for someone as wealthy as a Grammy winner, but it took 17 people to coordinate the beautiful event that helped so many children that can't afford the things like, pencils and notebooks.

Thank you ladies for creating a beautiful and giving day and for keeping Hatch Day for 10 years strong!
2. A wrestler, who also voiced Maui in "Moana", handing out 7000 bottles of Voss water in July was a small step for some, but it meant a lot to the "front line" people. Who was this famous celebrity who organized the event in July 2020?

Answer: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson

I applaud the health care workers who have slaved day in and day out to care for those who are sick. They've been there through thick and thin. They've seen people struggle for breath and they watched people pass on. I for one would not want the job of dealing with people through the virus every single day. Dwayne offered just a small token, 7000 bottles of water, not a large sum, but it was something.

He worked with the Voss company to help distribute the bottles. He defined it as "our small way of letting you know how grateful we are for all your work...".

It's not about the cost, it's about doing something to help. Thank you to all the health care workers! I applaud you!

Answer: Matthew McConaughey

Matthew and his wife, Camila, surprised many many people in Texas with deliveries of face masks. They just stopped at hospitals along a road trip. The masks were donated by "Lincoln" manufactor. He was actually calling BINGO in a zoom for a senior's home in April 2020. How adorable is that!? What an amazing way to show your kindness during the virus.
