Hugh Michael Jackman (1968-) was born in Sydney Australia. He is an Emmy and Tony Award winning Australian actor of film, theatre and television. He married Deborra-Lee Furness in 1996, and has adopted children. He is well known for his stage role as Peter Allen in "The Boy from Oz" (2002) where he sang and danced.

In 2008 he starred with Nicole Kidman in a Baz Luhrman film called "Australia" and he had to learn to ride a horse fast. On the first day of filming both Hugh and Nicole fainted due to the very high temperatures of forty plus degrees.
