"A Hard Day's Night" is a 1964 musical comedy starring the legendary Beatles. It was a "mockumentary" of a day in the life of John, Paul, George, and Ringo as they rocketed to fame. At the time, Phil Collins was a child actor and was used as an extra in the film.

He later gained fame as the drummer, and eventual lead singer, for the group Genesis. I learned this tidbit by reading the memoir "Not Dead Yet" (2016) by Collins. I am a big fan with a huge crush!

Among the quotes they printed was this one by actor Maurice Chevalier: "Old age isn't so bad when you consider the alternative." Now, as one might suspect, there are many instances of the sentiment expressed in this quote reworded in different ways that appear on record prior to Mr. Chevalier's popularization of it.
