Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who voiced the Caped Crusader in "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm"?

Answer: Kevin Conroy

Conroy first voiced the character in "Batman: The Animated series". He was the primary animated voice for the character from 1993 through 2013.
2. Which man first took up the cowl in "Batman: Under the Red Hood", and later reprised the role for the TV show "Young Justice"?

Answer: Bruce Greenwood

Greenwood also voiced Eduardo Dorado Jr. in one of the twenty-two episodes of "Young Justice" before it was cancelled.

He also reprised his role as Batman in the video game based on "Young Justice".
3. Bruce Wayne was replaced as Batman by Terry McGinnis in "Batman Beyond", who provided the voice for the new Dark Knight?

Answer: Wil Friedle

Years after the original Batman had retired, a new man takes up the mantle of the bat. This time he has Bruce Wayne in his ear helping to direct him. McGinnis wasn't nearly the detective that Wayne was, but he always had Wayne as backup eyes and ears during the run of "Batman Beyond".
4. In "Batman: Year One", the world's greatest detective was voiced by this former voice actor on the original "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers." After Power Rangers he would go on to father a middle child and break bad?

Answer: Bryan Cranston

Cranston had successful runs on television with "Malcolm in the Middle" and "Breaking Bad" after getting his start with the "Power Rangers" franchise. Cranston was also at one time considered to play the role of James Gordon in the Christopher Nolan directed live action "Batman" films, but turned it down due to his commitments on "Breaking Bad".
5. Based on a Frank Miller graphic novel, "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns" was released in two parts and starred what former "Robocop" actor as the aging protagonist?

Answer: Peter Weller

Weller, Glover and Noonan were all in "Robocop", but only Weller went on to lend his voice to "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns". Weller had never taken a role in an animated project prior to his stint as Batman.
6. Mark Hamill has become synonymous with voicing the Joker, Batman's arch nemesis. Which actor has portrayed Gotham City's favorite vigilante often in productions that also featured Hamill as the clown prince?

Answer: Kevin Conroy

Hamill, best known for playing Luke Skywalker in the "Star Wars" saga as an on screen actor, has appeared with Conroy in more animated episodes than any other voice actor from 1993 through 2013 when Hamill announced he was retiring as the Joker.

Hamill also provided the voice of the Joker in the live action "Birds of Prey" despite not being the actor seen on the screen.
7. A straight-to-DVD release, "The Batman vs. Dracula" starred the same principal cast as the TV show "The Batman". Who voiced the titular character in both the movie and the show?

Answer: Rino Romano

Romano is a veteran voice actor with more than one hundred film, TV and video game credits on his resume. Tara Strong played Batgirl in the 1990s DC Animated Universe and both Bader and Friedle played Batman in other projects.
8. Known for his comedy performances on "Whose Line is it Anyway" and "The Drew Carey Show", what actor was cast in the lighthearted, "The Brave and the Bold" as Batman?

Answer: Diedrich Bader

This show teamed Batman up with a new (sometimes recurring, but always different than the previous episode) partner each week for adventures across Gotham City, the U.S. and eventually several dimensions as the cast of characters grew.

Bader and Styles both were frequent collaborators on "Whose Line is it Anyway" and "The Drew Carey Show", but only Bader was featured in "The Brave and the Bold".
9. The first actor to play Batman in a live action and an animated TV show was none other than whom, who starred in the 1966 live action "Batman" TV show for three years, and later on "The New Adventures of Batman" animated series in 1977?

Answer: Adam West

Adam West and Burt Ward both returned for "The New Adventures of Batman" when the animated show hit the airwaves in 1977.

The duo also appeared in a live action movie, "Batman," shown in theaters in 1966 after the first season of the television show.
10. Batman only appeared in sixteen episodes of "Challenge of the Superfriends". Who played the part?

Answer: Olan Soule

Soule's voice appeared in sixteen episodes of "Challenge of the Superfriends", and later in two more Superfriends spinoffs. In all Soule played Batman for more than forty-six episodes of television.
