Born Oreal Perras in Montreal, Quebec, the 5 foot 10 inch wrestler took the name Ivan Koloff in 1967 while wrestling in the Toronto area. Ivan would establish himself as one of the legendary heels in pro wrestling when he defeated Bruno Sammartino for the WWWF World Championship in 1971, ending Sammartino's seven year title reign.

Nelson Simpson was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1959. Aspirations of becoming a football player were starting to fade for a 24 year old Simpson, when a meeting with Animal of the Road Warriors lead to an interview with wrestling promoter Jim Crockett.

It was Crockett who decided to rename Simpson Nikita Koloff and bill the young wrestler as Ivan Koloff's nephew. Nikita quickly became one of the most hated wrestlers in the Georgia area, but as real life relations between the United States and the Soviet Union began to improve, Nikita became a good guy and was teamed with the popular Dusty Rhoades.

Flair was born on February 25, 1949 in Memphis, Tennessee. He grew up as Richard Fliehr, but even he did not know his birth name. Flair was put up for adoption by his birth mother, and adopted by a doctor and his wife, who eventually moved the family to Minnesota.

After starting his wrestling career as a power based brawler, a back injury suffered during a plane crash forced Flair to change his style, which lead to the creation of the "Nature Boy" character that made him a legend.

Already a judo champion and a member of the 1976 Summer Olympic team representing Great Britain, Adams became a wrestler in 1978 after becoming a fan of The Dynamite Kid.

It was after joining with the legendary manager General Skandar Akbar that the Kamala character (sometimes spelled Kimala) was created. An intimidating looking wrestler with a painted face, the 6 foot 7 inch, 357 pound Kamala feuded with the likes of David Von Erich, Bruiser Brody, and Hulk Hogan throughout his career.

In 1983, he would make his mark in wrestling history by beating Bob Backlund for the WWF World Championship, a title he would lose a month later to Hulk Hogan.

Born Byron James John Robinson in Kitchener, Ontario, he began his career as the very popular Dewey Robertson in Canada. After a heel turn in Georgia, Robinson developed the Missing Link character and moved on to the Louisiana based Mid South territory.

The character was a hit with fans and eventually lead to Robinson signing with the WWF, and later finding what was arguably his greatest success in the Texas based World Class Championship Wrestling.
