HBK returned to the ring at "Summerslam" 2002 to take on his former bet friend Triple H in a Non-Sanctioned Match. Many wondered how Michaels would be able to perform after four years of being absent, but after reversing a "Pedigree" attempt, Shawn Michaels pinned Triple H with a bridge pin to capture the victory, much to the delight of the fans in Long Island.

The celebration would not last long, as Triple H struck Michaels in the lower back with a sledgehammer shortly after the match and left him motionless in the ring.

"Summerslam" 1991 featured both "The Match Made in Heaven" and "The Match Made in Hell". Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior would take on the team of Sgt. Slaughter, Col. Mustafa, and Gen. Adnan in a Handicap Match dubbed "The Match Made in Hell" while "Macho Man" Randy Savage finally married his long-time manager Miss Elzabeth in what was dubbed "The Match Made in Heaven".

At 24 years old, Randy Orton became the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in WWE history by defeating Chris Benoit at "Summerslam" 2004. After the match, Benoit returned to the ring to shake Orton's hand. Orton would only hold the title for a month, losing it to Triple H at "Unforgiven" 2004.

Answer: Intercontinental Championship

The main event of "Summerslam" 1992 was contested between Bret "Hitman" Hart and British Bulldog for the Intercontinental Championship. After a long and technical battle between the two, British Bulldog caught the "Hitman" with a backslide pin for the victory. Hart then shook his hand and hugged him after the match.

Answer: "Summerslam" 2001

From July-November 2001, the alliance between WCW and ECW would became a major threat to WWE, and a few championships of former WCW would be defended at WWE Pay Per Views. The Rock would defeat WCW Champion Booker T in the main event of "Summerslam" 2001 to win his first WCW Championship.

Answer: Ted DiBiase

Undertaker had lost in a Casket Match against Yokozuna at "Royal Rumble" 1994 and had not been seen for a long time after that. A few weeks before "Summerslam" 1994, people started saying that they saw him, and finally Ted Dibiase vowed that he would bring him back.

A version of Undertaker did appear, but Paul Bearer noticed that this Undertaker did not obey the will of him and the urn, rather he obeyed Dibiase and his money. Bearer soon challenged Dibiase's Undertaker to face the real Undertaker at "Summerslam" 1994.

Answer: Both men had never lost a one-on-one match at "Summerslam" prior to this event.

As Jim Ross stated before and during their match, neither man had ever lost a one-on-one match at "Summerslam" prior to "Summerslam" 2005. This fact would remain true for Hulk Hogan after the match, but not for Shawn Michaels, who lost to Hogan following the "Immortal Leg Drop".

Undertaker suffered his first "Summerslam" defeat against Mick Foley (as Mankind) in a Boiler Room Brawl at "Summerslam" 1996. Bret "Hitman" Hart defeated Undertaker one year later at "Summerslam" 1997. Stone Cold Steve Austin defeated him one year after that at "Summerslam" 1998. Randy Orton defeated Undertaker at "Summerslam" 2005.

Answer: Shane McMahon

Shane McMahon defended the Hardcore Championship against Steve Blackman at "Summerslam" 2000. In a match with no rules, McMahon tried to pull out all the stops, even having wrestlers interfere on his behalf. Blackman fought back, however, eventually chasing McMahon up the side of the Titantron.

After cornering him near the top, he proceeded to hit McMahon repeatedly with a kendo stick, causing him to become disoriented and lose his grip of the side, making him fall off. Blackman then jumped off as well, hitting McMahon with an elbow drop for the victory.

Answer: Degeneration X

Despite having help from Big Show, Umaga, Mr. Kennedy, William Regal, Finlay, and the Spirit Squad, the McMahons still could not defeat Degeneration X at "Summerslam" 2006. After fighting off all the interference, it was finally Triple H who pinned Vince McMahon following a "Pedigree".

World Heavyweight Champion Triple H eliminated Goldberg to win the match following a sledgehammer strike to his head. He became the first man to win an Elimination Chamber Match by eliminating only one person.

Answer: Edge and Christian

Edge and Christian defeated the Hardy Boyz and the Dudley Boyz in the first TLC Match at "Summerslam" 2000. A rematch between the same three teams in the same type of match would take place at "Wrestlemania X-Seven" and would yield the same result.

Rey Mysterio faced Kurt Angle in the opening match of "Summerslam" 2002. Mysterio managed many impressive high-flying manuevers, but Angle's Ankle Lock finally grounded him and forced him to submit.

Answer: Ladder Match

Razor Ramon defeated Shawn Michaels at "Wrestlemania X" in a Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship. The exact same match would take place at "Summerslam" 1995, only this time Michaels would leave the Intercontinental Champion. In what many consider to be better than the original match a year and a half earlier, Shawn Michaels defeated Razor Ramon at "Summerslam" 1995.

Answer: Coach

In his match against Shane McMahon, Eric Bischoff enlisted the aid of Jonathan Coachman, much to the surprise of the WWE fans. Stone Cold Steve Austin came out to temporarilly be halted by Coach, who reminded Austin that he cannot strike him unless Coach himself provoked him. Shane then pushed Coach into Austin, giving him the provocation Austin needed to hit him. With both Bischoff and Coach out, McMahon hit Bischoff with an elbow drop through an announce table for the victory.
