God said, "Let there be light!", and there was light! The light and the darkness were the first day. He created the sun and moon a little later. He created the whole world in six days and on the seventh day rested.

Adam and Eve were the first man and woman. God didn't want Adam to be alone, so he put Adam to sleep. While Adam was taking a nap, God formed a wife for him out of one of his ribs. Adam woke up and saw a very beautiful lady! Adam named his wife "Eve" because she would be the mother of all.

Cain and Abel's parents, the first man and woman, sinned and had to be thrown out of the garden of Eden. God made them clothes out of two sacrificed animals. Life was very hard compared to the garden. However, they taught Cain and Abel to bring an animal as a sacrifice to please God. Cain brought things from the garden, and Abel brought the right sacrifice. God warned Cain he would accept his sacrifice if it was the right kind, but Cain would not listen. Cain was so mad God accepted Abel's sacrifice, he killed his brother in anger.

Noah was laughed at for following God's directions. However, no one was laughing when it started raining. Noah and his family were safe because they obeyed God. They also had two of every kind of animal on the ark. When the flood was over, Noah built an altar and gave thanks to God for saving them from the flood. God was so happy, He put a rainbow in the sky and promised never to destroy the earth with water again.

After the flood, God told the people to move anywhere and everywhere! However they did not want to split up. They built a city and planned to build a tower that reached to the heavens in case there was ever another flood. However God came down and confused their languages. They had to group up with the ones that spoke the same language, and finally moved to different areas of the world.

Could you imagine your great-grandmother having a baby? When God told Abraham his wife Sarah would have a baby, Sarah laughed really hard! She and Abraham were really old! When Isaac was born, God told them to name him Isaac, or "laughter", because they had laughed at what God promised them.

Sodom and Gomorrah were very wicked cities. God sent angels to destroy them but before they did, they got Abraham's nephew Lot and his family out of the cities. The angels told Lot and his family not to look back! However his wife did and turned into a pillar of salt.

Esau was very hairy and Jacob didn't have as much hair. On the day that their father was going to hand everything he had to Esau in a blessing, he asked Esau to go hunt him a nice dinner. While he was gone hunting, Jacob's mother dressed Jacob up in goat's skin and sent him to his father. Isaac could not see very well so he felt Jacob and believed it was Esau.

By the time Esau and his father realized what had happened, Jacob had run away with his father's blessing.

Answer: Leah

Jacob loved his uncle's daughter, Rachel. His uncle told him if he worked seven years he could have her. However, on the wedding night, his uncle switched the brides. After the wedding, Jacob realized he had married Leah and not Rachel. He worked another seven years to marry Rachel, altogether fourteen years. However to him it only seemed like a few days because he loved her.

Joseph was a ruler and could have taken revenge on his brothers if he had wanted to. However, when his brothers came to him to buy food, Joseph rejoiced! He forgave them and brought them and his father to Egypt where they could be saved from the hunger their country was experiencing.
