Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Just after Harry Potter's parents died at the hands of Lord Voldemort, Harry was sent to live at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Answer: False

Although Harry does attend Hogwarts, he was not sent there until after his eleventh birthday. After his parents died, Harry was sent to live with his Aunt Petunia, Uncle Vernon, and cousin Dudley Dursley.
2. Ron and George Weasley are twins.

Answer: False

Ron is Harry's age, but his older brothers, Fred and George, are the Weasley twins.
3. Sirius Black, Harry's godfather, is an Animagus and can turn into a big black dog.

Answer: True

Yep, that's right. Sirius, along with Professor McGonagall and a few other powerful wizards, is an Animagus (a wizard who can change into a specific animal)
4. In 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,' after many painful rejections, Nearly-Headless Nick is FINALLY allowed in to the Headless Hunt.

Answer: False

If you answered 'true,' I'm sure that Nearly-Headless Nick would be happy with you, but unfortunately, Nick was rejected from the Headless Hunt Club because his head was still a half inch too attached to his neck! Sorry Nick, better luck next time... :(
5. The cry of a fully grown Mandrake can kill you.

Answer: True

While the cry of a baby Mandrake can only knock a person out, the cry of a fully grown one can kill.
6. The Dursleys live at 4 Privet Drive.

Answer: True

It's true... that's where they live!
7. Harry Potter's wand happens to be the brother (equivalent) of Albus Dumbledore's wand.

Answer: False

Harry's wand is the brother of Lord Voldemort's due to them both having a core made from a feather from the same phoenix.
8. The title of the first 'Harry Potter' book is different in England from the name it has in the US.

Answer: True

Yep! It's called 'The Sorcerer's Stone' in the US, and 'The Philosopher's Stone' in the UK.
9. Since Harry Potter is the star of his house Quidditch team, it's pretty obvious that Harry grew up in a family that was ADDICTED to watching (and playing) Quidditch.

Answer: False

Since Harry grew up with the Dursleys, who are Muggles, he didn't even learn what Quidditch was until he arrived at Hogwarts.
10. Professor Dumbledore does not like Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans.

Answer: True

Yes, that's right... Dumbledore does NOT like 'Every flavor Beans' because, as a child, he learned the hard way that those beans really do come in EVERY flavor... yuck! Although he DOES eat one in the movie, Professor Dumbledore states, quite clearly, in book one that he does not like Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans.
