(has red haiR ON his head): Ron Weasley is a Gryffindor, and is best friends with fellow Gryffindors Harry Potter and Hermione Granger. He comes from a large family who live in a house called "The Burrow". Unfortunately Ron's family are very poor, but this means that they appreciate values such as love and family. Ron is by Harry's side in most of the action - he even destroys one of the Horcruxes, Slytherin's locket, in Book 7: "The Deathly Hallows". Ron ultimately marries Hermione, and they have children together.

However, it turns out that Prof. Snape is on their side, and on several occasions puts himself out to protect the children from danger, such as in Book 3: "The Prisoner of Azkaban" when he protects them from Lupin, who has transformed into his werewolf form.

However, Remus stays a big part of Harry's life, as he is part of the Order of the Phoenix, and marries fellow Order member Nymphadora Tonks; they have a son together named Teddy after Nymphadora's father. Remus was one of the Marauders - the group of friends who made the Marauder's Map which included Prongs, Harry's father. Other members were Sirius Black (Padfoot) and Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail). Remus's nickname was Moony.

As a youth, Dumbledore dabbled in the Dark Arts with his very close friend Gellert Grindelwald - however Grindelwald was imprisoned, and since then Dumbledore has been completely on the side of good. He was the one who founded the Order of the Phoenix, which is dedicated to fighting and defeating Lord Voldemort. Dumbledore is famous as an extraordinary wizard, and his accomplishments include working with Nicolas Flamel to discover the twelve uses of dragon blood.

(a bit of a LUNAtic): Luna Lovegood is a student at Hogwarts, who is one year below Harry, Ron and Hermione. She is in the same year as Ron's little sister, Ginny. Other people think that both she and her father Xenophilius are crazy, but really they are just different, and a little eccentric. Luna joins Dumbledore's Army, and is present in Book 5: "The Order of the Phoenix", when in the Department of Mysteries, the group fight off Death Eaters.

Harry has a crush on Cho in Book 4: "The Goblet of Fire", and asks her out to the Yule Ball - however she goes with Cedric Diggory, her boyfriend. Unfortunately, Cedric is killed by Peter Pettigrew, and this naturally affects Cho very much. She feels drawn to Harry because he was there when Cedric dies, and they go out together for a short while before breaking up.

(another friend oF RED hair): Fred Weasley is one of Ron's older brothers, and has a twin named George. The Weasley twins are well known for their practical jokes, and even quit school in Book 5: "The Order of the Phoenix", and open a joke shop in Diagon Alley. Unfortunately, Fred is killed in the final battle of Hogwarts - George never fully gets over Fred's death, understandably, but manages to bring the joke shop, called "Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes", to success.

(into a JAM, EScape was not): James Potter was Harry Potter's father, and was a member of the Order of the Phoenix before he and his wife were killed by Voldemort, on the night that Harry famously survived the Avada Kedavra curse. James was one of the creators of the Marauder's Map, along with Remus Lupin (known as Moony), Sirius Black (Padfoot), and Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail). James was known as Prongs.

Although she went to the the Yule Ball with Fred Weasley, she ends up married to his twin brother George - of course Fred sadly died in the Battle of Hogwarts. Angelina entered the Triwizard Tournament in Book 4: "The Goblet of Fire" - she was unsuccessful, with Cedric Diggory representing Hogwarts instead (Harry Potter's place in the Tournament was the fourth, which is the first time this has happened in the Triwizard Tournament, Tri meaning three.)

Cedric and Harry agree to grab the cup at the same time to both win the tournament - but the cup is a Portkey, and as they are transported into the graveyard at Little Hangleton, Cedric is killed by Peter Pettigrew using the Avada Kedavra curse, at the order of Voldemort.
