Hernan (also known as Hernando) Cortes is a Spanish conquistador who conquered the Aztec Empire in the 16th century. Francisco Pizarro is a Spanish conquistador who conquered the Incan Empire. Christopher Columbus is an explorer who sailed to the Americas (though he thought he was in East Asia) and Vasco da Gama was a Portugese explorer who sailed around Africa to go to Asia.
6. Which of these instruments has the most vowels in its name?

Answer: Saxophone

The five vowels are A, E, I, O and U. Oboe has three vowels, clarinet has three, guitar has three, and saxophone has four.
7. In order for there to be a Friday the 13th, the month must begin on what day of the week?

Answer: Sunday

There are 7 days in week. So, if Sunday is the 1st, then Friday must be the 6th; 6+7=13, so the second Friday of the month will be a Friday the 13th.
8. John has 16 nickels and 2 dimes. Jenny has 3 quarters and 2 dimes. John has more money.

Answer: True

A nickel is worth 5 cents. A dime is worth 10 cents. A quarter is worth 25 cents. 16x5=80c, 2x10=20c, and 80c+20c=$1.00. 3x25=75c, 2x10=20c, and 75c+20c=95c. $1.00 is more than 95c.
9. There is a total of two adjectives in the following sentence: "On a hot day, I enjoy drinking a tall glass of cold water."

Answer: False

Adjectives are words used to describe something. The adjectives in this sentence are hot, tall, and cold. So there are three adjectives.
