Baseball's invention is usually credited to Abner Doubleday, an American Civil War general. However, this has not been definitively proven. In baseball, the pitcher throws the ball at the batter. The batter tries to hit it. After successfully hitting the ball (and not getting caught out), the batter tries to run around the bases (not necessarily all at once) and get a home run, which results in a run for the batting team.

The MLB (Major League Baseball) is the American and Canadian baseball league and has produced players such as Babe Ruth, Yogi Berra, Hank Aaron, Roberto Clemente among others.

American football, although played internationally, is usually considered an American and Canadian sport. This is because what is known in the United States and Canada as soccer is called football by many other countries in the world. Therefore, what is known as football in the US and Canada is called American football, or gridiron.

In this game, a defense and an offense play. The offense tries to advance the ball forward across a large field (100 yards in the United States) and get the ball into a spot known as the end zone.

There, they score 6 points with the choice of advancing the ball from the two-yard line for 2 points or kicking the ball through what is known as an upright for 1 point. There is a total of 5 downs with the ball transferring to the other team after 5 downs. During the advance (known as a drive), the offense also tries to get first down, which resets the number of downs.

The offense also has the choice of scoring 3 points by kicking the ball through the uprights, or punting.

The defense tries to stop the offense from scoring. The NFL (National Football League) is the American league for football. It has seen many famous players such as Bo Jackson (who also played baseball), Brett Favre, Eli and Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.

Curling is a sport in which players slide stones (usually polished granite) across a big sheet of ice. There are two teams of four players. The players use brooms to alter the ice in front of the rock, therefore also altering the rock's path. There is a circular area called the house and the team that makes it into the house first wins.

This sport is known as chess on ice. The international league of curling, the WCF (World Curling Federation) has seen famous curlers such as John Morris and Thomas Lovold.

Hockey is actually pretty simple. Two teams face off for a round object (a ball in field hockey, and called a puck in ice hockey). The team that gets it tries to get it into the net, while the other team tries to prevent them from scoring and trying to get the ball or puck to score for themselves.

The team with the most goals at the end of the game wins. Hockey and soccer are almost identical in rules. The highest level of hockey is the International Ice Hockey Federation. The NHL (National Hockey League) in the United States and Canada is the North American ice hockey league.

The NHL has had players such as Wayne Gretzky and Sidney Crosby.

Golf is a sport played on, usually, green grass. A small white ball is put on a tee and hit with a golf club (called the wood in golf). The person has to try to get the ball into a hole. Golf can be a one-person game or a multiplayer game. The PGA (Professional Golfers' Association) is the American, Canadian, and British golfing league.

It has seen players such as Arnold Palmer and Tiger Woods.

Although all of these games involve hitting a ball over a net in hopes that your opponent won't get it, only volleyball involves you hitting with your hands. The other sports involve hitting with a racquet (or in ping-pong, a paddle). Volleyball is actually pretty simple. All you have to do is get a ball and hit it over a net with your hands (no throwing). If the other team cannot hit it back before it touches the ground, your team gets a point.

The FIVB (Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (known in English as the International Volleyball Federation)) is the highest governing body of volleyball.

Answer: Ultimate Frisbee

Ultimate Frisbee is officially recognized as a sport by the International Olympic Committee. In this game, people on a team throw a frisbee around. The person with possession of the frisbee is not allowed to move. He has to throw the frisbee to somebody else, who then keeps on passing it until it is in possession of somebody in the end zone, which gives the possessing team a point.

The team with the most points wins. The defense tries to intercept the passes and when a pass isn't caught, it is a turnover.
