Dr. David Livingstone was made famous for his exploration of Africa. The classic line "Dr. Livingstone I presume?" was, supposedly, uttered by Sir Henry Morton Stanley who went on a famous search for Dr. Livingstone.

Dr. Dre had many hits, including "The Next Episode" and "Nothin' But a G Thang". He also discovers and produces many new artists including Eminem and Snoop Dogg.

"Dr. Kildare" started out as a movie, then moved to radio, TV and finally a comic book. The young Dr. Kildare worked under, and tried to win the respect of, the older Dr. Gillespie. In a homage in "Blazing Saddles" a man in a wheelchair is hung for the Dr. Gillespie killings.
