Answer: Crimean

This happened in the Battle of Balaclava, October 25, 1854, during the Crimean War. Subject of a famous poem by Lord Tennyson, written in 1864. Also the title of a film from 1936 with Olivia de Havilland and Errol Flynn.
2. Who was the leader of the Australian Labor Party (ALP) immediately before Gough Whitlam?

Answer: Arthur Calwell

Whitlam went on to become an iconic Labor prime minister of Australia, famously sacked in 1977. By the way, that's 'Labor', not the Australian spelling of 'labour'.
3. What is the name of the spacecraft used in the TV series, 'Star Trek'?

Answer: Enterprise

Starship Enterprise of course!
4. Who wrote and recorded 'Sara', 'John Wesley Harding' and 'Blowing in the Wind'?
