Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The first music video that I remember seeing was the most successful release of "Take On Me" by A-ha. I was six years old at the time. Can you guess which year I was born in? P.S, I live in Britain so you will have to take into account the British release date.

Answer: 1979

"Take On Me" was a hit for A-ha in 1985. It is still one of my favourite videos. It is about a girl who falls in love with a man in a comic book.
2. I was born on February 2nd. What is my star sign?

Answer: Aquarius

February 2nd is known as Groundhog Day in the USA. Capricorn is the sign that precedes it and Pisces is the sign that comes after.
3. My favourite soccer team were once known as the Thames Iron Works. Who do I support?

Answer: West Ham

West Ham have still got the nickname "The Irons".
4. As the club I support used to be called the Thames Iron Works, and as I live in the same city as that club, which city do I live in?

Answer: London

The main clue there was the Thames, the famous river that flows through London. My favourite spot on the Thames is at The Tower of London, next to Tower Bridge.
5. My favourite band had huge success in the late nineties with the hit singles "A Design for Life" and "Everything Must Go". Can you name them?

Answer: The Manic Street Preachers

The two singles I mentioned are not the Manics' best. The stuff they produced in the early nineties was much better quality but is less well known. The Manics come from Blackwood near Cardiff in Wales.
6. I went to University in a city in North Wales which overlooks the Menai Straits. Where did I go to University?

Answer: Bangor

The four Universities I mentioned, together make up the University of Wales. The answer has to be Bangor as Cardiff and Swansea are both in South Wales and Aberystwyth does not overlook the Menai Straits.
7. My favourite author wrote "The Silmarillion". This however, is not his most famous work. Who is my favourite author?

Answer: J.R.R. Tolkien

Tolkien also wrote "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit". The three decoys are also amongst my favourite authors.
8. I have only been outside Britain twice. Of the two countries I have visited one has the Shamrock as a symbol and the other has the Fleur De Lys. What are the two countries?

Answer: France and Ireland

Yeah, I am not exactly a globe-trotter but I like to think at least that although I have not travelled the world, I do have a lot of knowledge about it. Did you know that the Capital city of Burkina Faso is Ouagadougou?
9. My favourite actor appeared in the films "Blue Juice" and "Shallow Grave". Can you name him?

Answer: Ewan McGregor

McGregor has also appeared in "Trainspotting" and "Moulin Rouge". I think he is a brilliant actor mainly because he chooses his roles well. I have not seen a film with him in it that I have not liked.
10. Joe Montana, Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders all played for my favourite football team. Name that team.

Answer: San Francisco 49ers

I am quite into American sport but unfortunately as I live in London I do not get to see a lot as it is all on television in the middle of the night. A message to any Americans visiting London. The channel to go to for live US sport is Channel 5. They show Baseball on Sundays and Wednesdays during the season and during the football season they show a game on Monday nights.
