The German autobahn is extremely dangerous with it's unlimited speeds. In the United Kingdom, it is against the law to walk on the motorways, so hitchhikers do their business from gas/petrol stations and rest stops. Interstates also work the same way in the States as the UK highways.

The trek sponsored by Link Community Development and Rough Guides. University students from all around the UK take part in the event which started in 1992. For students who don't want to go 1200 miles to Morocco, a race to Prague, only 700 miles, Czech Republic was established in 2003.

Other university kids try in the summer to get as far away from the university as possible without spending any money on transportation in a game called Jailbreak.

Bono and his buddy were out walking when it began to rain. The next night, U2 performed in Edmonton and Gilbert, his girlfriend and his mom were all given backstage passes. Bono thanked him and his girlfriend during the show.
