Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. When I woke up, this anime cartoon (the American version) created in Japan was playing. The series has a lot to do with duel monsters and ancient Millennium pieces. On the show and card trading based on the show, there are creatures such as Exodia, Magician of Black Chaos, Summoned Skull, and Gemini Elf are just to name a few. What show did I wake up to?

Answer: Yu-Gi-Oh

'Yu-Gi-Oh' is a very interesting show, hard for young kids to follow along though. The show's main character Yugi, and the spirit that lives inside of his Millennium puzzle, Yami Yugi, and his friends fight villains (and now real duel monsters) by dueling with cards that has monsters,( magical, ritual, polymerized and normal), magic cards, and trap cards.

The game and show is very entertaining when you duel with others, but be careful. Trading cards can become expensive.
2. Because I had to rush out of the house, I grabbed a yogurt, banana, and bottled water. There are new studies on dairy products now saying good sources of milk can do wonders. Which one of the choices is milk and its products NOT found to do?

Answer: improve eyesight

Milk does wonders right. It also helps prevent osteoporosis and build strong bones.
3. First school class is World Studies: A LOT of the basics are being covered in this class. One topic we discussed was developed and undeveloped/developing countries. A country that has made the transition from undeveloped to developed has gone from an agricultural society to WHAT society to a nation that produces information?

Answer: Industrial

Hopefully this question was challenging. Just think of an agricultural society inventing new ways to produce goods and improvements of farming equipment. Then came ways to easily produce the new farming equipment and other goods instead of having to buy or trade with countries, making a nation more dependable.

This then leads a country to advance further and become developed until it reaches a point where it can produce information for that nation or others around the world. Of course there normal are stages or short periods inbetween but these are the main ones.
4. 3rd period- Biology: There is a whole branch of chemistry, organic chemistry, dedicated to this atom. What is the atom?

Answer: Carbon

Why is carbon so interesting? Carbon has four valence electrons, enabling it to bond with up to four different atoms and because carbon bonds with so many different atoms, it is the second in versatility next to water. Carbon can form large chains which may form macromolecules and is also the backbone of living organisms.
5. After 2 periods, Algebra: Solve this problem: 4x-9 = 7x+12

Answer: x= -7

Sorry this problem is easier than the one from My Boring Day. Here's one way to solve it:

Because you want the problem to read variable equal coefficient, you want to isolate the terms. You can start the with the term you please but I stared by adding 9 to each side of the problem
4x-9 = 7x+12
= +9 +9
= 4x = 7x + 21

Because I started with the left hand side, I have to go to the right hand side. Subtract 7x from both sides:
4x = 7x + 21
= -7x = -7x
= -3x = 21

The last step is to now divide because there is still a number in front of the variable:
=21/-3x
= x=-7.
If you check the problem, plugging in the -7 where the xs belong, both problem equals -37.
6. 7th Period, Art: Not to long ago, we created a constitution employing certain constituents posed to perceptibly revel using construction paper, magazines, and other mixed media utilizing geometric and organic mould and dissimilar magnitudes. In other words, what did we make?

Answer: Collage

Basically, the question is saying we created a composition using paper that are in geometric and no-name shapes, if you will, of different sizes and shapes.
7. 8th period, Survey Literature: We are now finishing up the reading of the epic 'The Odyssey'. Books 9-12 are the books often remembered by the 'Odyssey's' readers because of the action. It also reveals truth and themes present in the world today. Book 9, the story of Polyphemos and Odysseus' meeting reveals themes and lessons of hospitality, to much pride, greed, and curiosity. Because Odysseus was kind of greedy and curious, he and his men waited inside the cave to get guest gifts and learn about the people (or creatures) there. Because Polyphemus was a host (along with Odysseus and his men being bad guests), this ended up happening to him.

Answer: He got his eye stabbed out.

Odysseus came up with an elaborate scheme to stab out Polyphemus' only eye (because he was a Cyclops) but lost several men while waiting for the perfect time, because Polyphemus ate some of them for meals. As Odysseus made his escape, trying to get all the glory he could, Odysseus announces his true name, home, and even father. Polyphemus then prays to his father, Poseidon, asking him not to let Odysseus return home and if he does, make him suffer all the way and have problems when he gets there.
8. This collaboration released in the summer of 2004 featuring Terror Squad, Fat Joe, Shawna (representing Chicago), Mase, and Eminem is a remix of this song whose verse states: "My ****** don't dance We just pull up our pants and Do the rock away. Now What?" (it is also the title of the song)

Answer: Lean Back

The original song featured Fat Joe, Terror Squad and Remmy.
9. Watching hours and hours of television, I was happy when 'WWE Monday Night Raw' came on. Who is the general manager (the person that "schedules" most of the matches) on 'Raw'?

Answer: Eric Bischoff

This is pretty easy, especially of you watch it every once and a while. Paul Haymen once was a general manager now he is just a manager of several wrestlers. Theodore is the G. Manager of Smackdown. Vince is the CEO and Chairman of WWE. I just have to add Rey Mysterio, RVD, RANDY ORTON, John Cena, Shelton Benjamin, The French Phenom, The Rock, E Guerrero, Undertaker, Foley, Stone Cold, C. Jericho, C. Benoit, Eugene, Rikishi, and Carlito rocks.
10. I'll again end this really easy. Before I went to bed I looked at my calendar which has this popular cartoon character created by a man whose initials are S.H. He was a marine biologist and educator in the subject before he came up with this cartoon played on Nickelodeon. What cartoon am I talking about?

Answer: Spongebob Squarepants

Stephen Hillenburg started out with a sketch of a square sponge with a tie. Now SpongeBob is a cultural icon, and so is his creator. Some of his fans include Jennifer Love Hewitt (who sent him a love letter), Bruce Willis, Dr. Dre, and the 15+ million people who watch his show every week. (Wow, people are nuts)
