Pitohuis were discovered in the 1990s in New Guinea and use a potent poison as self defence. The chemical agent, homobatrachotoxin, is an alkaloid also found in the skin of poisonous frogs.

Irish born Mary Mallon was a 'healthy' carrier of typhoid and was responsible for 47 illnesses and 3 deaths in the US at the turn of the 20th Century. As a result, she was permanently quarantined for the last 23 years of her life.

Zheng He was reputedly 7 foot tall and a eunuch of the court of the 3rd Emperor of the Ming Dynasty (1403-1424). Chinese sources say Zheng He commanded a fleet of 30,000 men and 300 ships, and that his Treasure Ship was 400ft long - nearly four times the size of Columbus' ship Santa Maria.
His 'western ocean' voyages covered Sri Lanka, India, Persia, Egypt and possibly even Australia.
10. In which country would you use a Dong to buy goods?

Answer: Vietnam
