Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. 'Hard To Kill,' 'Die Hard,' 'Con Air,' 'Die Hard With A Vengeance.' What do these movies have in common?

Answer: Action flicks

If you're a movie buff, you would know that these are all action movies and it seems that most action flick movie titles have fewer than than three syllables, with the exception of 'Die Hard With A Vengeance.' That's six syllables.
2. Okay, we all know that Bugs Bunny keeps complaining about that left turn at Alberquerque he keeps missing, right? Well, suppose he missed a left turn at 'Albertsons.' What or where did he miss his left turn?

Answer: A grocery store

Albertsons is a grocery-store chain, like Ralphs, Vons, Food-4-Less, and Stater Bros. Oh, and if he should find an Albertsons, I hear they have a special on carrots.
3. Okay! It's school mascot trivia time! Which one of these San Diegan universities has an Indian tribe as a mascot?

Answer: San Diego State University

San Diego State U. is the only one of the bunch that has an Indian mascot, known as the Aztecs. The mascot's name is Monty Montezuma. The mascot for CSU San Marcos is the cougar, the one for UCSD is the Triton, and the one for USD is the Toreros.
4. While we're on the subject of universities, read the following: University of Pennsylvania, Yale, Princeton, and Cornell. What do they all have in common?

Answer: They're Ivy League schools

This is another relatively easy one. Of course, another thing these colleges would have in common is that 1.) my parents would have to sell their home in order for me to attend one of them because they're so darn expensive and 2.) a 2.0 G.P.A is not good enough for admission requirements.
5. Which one of these dances is not featured on Nuttysites.com?

Answer: Palm Pilot dance

6. Xenon, Argon, Neon, and Helium. What do these elements of the Periodic Table have in common?

Answer: Noble gases

If you took a good look at the Periodic Table in your chemistry textbook you would know that these are all noble gases.
7. While we're on the subject of chemistry, let's say that there was an award ceremony for chemists. What name would be called to accept the award for developing the Periodic Table?

Answer: 'Would Dmitri Mendeleev please accept this award?'

Out of all of these scientists, Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev would be the one to accept the award.
8. Can someone answer this question I have? It's been plaguing me for years! What is the difference between a brunette and a blonde (besides hair color)?

Answer: A brunette minus a blonde

The difference between something is associated with subtraction. See, it pays to listen in your 4th grade math class!
9. We all know about the popular comedy TV show 'Mystery Science Theater 3000,' right? Well, which one of these movies was not torn to shreds by Mike and the bots' witty comments?

Answer: Toys

Out of all these movies, 'Toys' was not ripped to shreds, though I do believe that it should have been. I saw it as a kid with my cousin, his mom, and his friend and I thought it stunk like yesterday's gym socks. It was a waste of Robin William's talent (like the movie 'Flubber').
10. You've probably heard of that new Nicolas Cage flick, 'Captain Corelli's Mandolin' right? Say that a new movie came out called 'Captain Botticelli's Mandolin.' What would the movie be about?

Answer: A painter-soldier who plays the mandolin

Sandro Botticelli was a Renaissance painter. His most famous work is 'Venus.' I think it would make one interesting flick.
