After forging a successful career as a WWE wrestler, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson made his acting debut in a brief scene in 'The Mummy Returns' (2001) as the Scorpion King, before reprising the character and taking the lead in the spin-off film, aptly titled 'The Scorpion King' (2002). Since then, Johnson has enjoyed a string of starring roles in major films.

Written by James Myers and Max Freedman, 'Rock Around the Clock' was a huge hit for Bill Haley and His Comets in 1954, though they weren't the first group to record the song. It was the intention of the writers that it be first performed by The Comets, but Sonny Dae and His Knights made the first recording a month before Haley and his band were able to.

Despite this, the latter's version went down in history as being the most popular version of the song, becoming one of the most recognisable songs of the '50s.

Brighton Rock is a hard, stick-like sweet (hence its name) that, funnily enough, was popular in the seaside city of Brighton, in southern England, though other examples of this type of sweet were available at other popular seaside tourist destinations (such as Blackpool) and bore similar names. Children are advised not to bite straight into it, lest they suffer an unfortunate dental accident.

Metamorphic rocks are formed when any type of rock is exposed to different environmental conditions than when it was originally created, such as increased atmospheric pressure, at which point they 'metamorphose' into a new rock.

Undoubtedly one of Disney's most popular animations, 'The Lion King' has been compared with the story of Shakespeare's 'Hamlet', which each story charting the life of a young prince whose father was killed by his uncle and events that followed. Released in 1994, the film has also been adapted into a succesful Broadway musical, which won numerous Tony Awards upon its release.

In the 'Rock Band' series, players are able to take on lead vocals, lead and bass guitars, as well as drums and, with the introduction of 'Rock Band 3', keyboard. Many popular songs were included in the game, most of which were selected to give the keyboard some prominence within the band. The first film in the franchise, 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' stars Harrison Ford as archaeologist Indiana Jones as he searches for the mythical Ark of the Covenant. It was director Steven Spielberg's idea for the boulder scene, which instantly became one of the most recognisable in film history.

Chris Rock began his career on the stand-up comedy circuit, before being spotted by Eddie Murphy. Rock went on to act in Murphy's 'Beverly Hills Cop II' as a valet; his first proper film appearance. Rock then continued the comedy and acting, rising in popularity.

In 2005, he became the star of his own sitcom based on his childhood entitled 'Everybody Hates Chris', the title being a parody of the popular sitcom 'Everybody Loves Raymond'. That same year, he joined Ben Stiller, David Schwimmer and Jada Pinkett-Smith in the Dreamworks animated film 'Madagascar'. Rock also reprised his role as Marty the zebra in the sequels.

Alcatraz Island can be found in California, in the San Francisco Bay area. It gained its infamy when the notorious Alcatraz Prison was opened on the island in 1934 and housed some of the most dangerous criminals in twentieth century US history. Some people mistakenly refer to the prison as "The Rock", but strictly speaking, that is the nickname of the island.

The penitentiary was simply known as Alcatraz. The island is also home to a lighthouse and a thriving population of sea birds.
