Phillip Calvin McGraw, aka Dr. Phil, is a popular American television personality, author and former psychologist. "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" is a Brothers Grimm fairy tale that was made into a full-length animated film by Walt Disney in 1937. It was also one of the first animated films made in Technicolor. The character of Doc is the decision maker of the group and the wisest of the dwarfs.

His use of spoonerisms is an outlet for his nervous energy. Whether he gets flustered or not, he knows how to rally the other dwarfs.

Dr. Klaus Märtens was a German doctor on leave from the army when a skiing injury left him unable to wear his standard-issue boots. An inventor of sorts, he developed air-cushioned soles as well as other improvements for his boots to make them more comfortable. Two years later, in 1947, he went into the shoe business with a friend. By 1958, after great success, the rights were sold to R. Griggs Group Ltd. to manufacture them in the United Kingdom.

They have continued to make Doc Martens footwear ever since.

Originally sold to factory workers, postmen and police officers, Doc Martens later became popular with skinheads and mods. Dr. Octopus, aka Dr. Otto Octavius, is a fictional mad scientist in Marvel Comic books and is one of Spider-Man's most dangerous enemies. An inventor and engineer, Dr. Octopus is the world's leading authority on nuclear radiation and its effects on human physiology.

Dr. John Henry "Doc" Holliday was an American dentist, professional gambler and gunfighter. The discovery that he had tuberculosis cut his dental career short and he turned to other means to earn a living. Though well educated and polite, his quick temper and sharp-shooting-skills made him greatly feared in the West. He is best known for his friendship with Wyatt Earp and his participation in the gunfight at the O.K Corral in Tombstone, Arizona.

Wyatt Earp had this to say about his friend:
