Answer: Truro

Truro is the only city in Cornwall. It has a bowling alley, loads of good restaurants and shops.
2. Which of these villages and towns is linked to some King Arthur legends?

Answer: Tintagel

Tintagel is thought to be where King Arthur lived. There is a castle there but it is unsure of whether it is Arthur's. It is situated in the north of Cornwall on the coast.
3. Where is the theme park, Flambards?

Answer: Helston

Flambards is the only theme park in Cornwall. It has a Victorian Village as well as a rollercoaster and a laser show.
4. What is the Cornish word for "four"?

Answer: pedor

Nor is nine, chy is house and fore is not a proper Cornish word.
5. Which of these is a saint of Cornwall but is not the patron saint?

Answer: Petroc

Petroc is one of the most famous saints in Cornwall, but is not well known else where. Perran is not the correct spelling for the patron saint who is called Piran. George is the patron saint of England and Arthur is the name of the King linked to Cornwall.
6. Which town is the Eden Project nearest to?

Answer: St. Austell

The Eden Project was designed by Tim Smit. It is Cornwall's biggest tourist attraction and contains biomes with exotic and rare plants inside.
7. Which Cornish town did Duran Duran frontman, Simon Le Bon, capsize his yacht at?

Answer: Falmouth

In 1985, Simon capsized his yacht 'Drum' while racing in the Fastnet Race, nearly killed him and his brother who was also on board.

Jonathan Trelawny (1650 - 1721) was one of the seven bishops imprisoned in the Tower of London by James II in 1688.The news of their arrest was greeted with anger and dismay in Cornwall.
"And shall Trelawny die?" the Cornish asked for months as there were no Cornishmen able to march to London to get him released. The Cornish had given so much to the Royalists during the Civil War that they were exhausted.
10. Which of these towns is the first town you enter after driving off the Tamar Bridge from Plymouth?

Answer: Saltash

Saltash - The Gateway to Cornwall - is where I grew up. Not many people know about Saltash, even more western Cornish people. It does not have much there but it does have the cottage of Sir Francis Drake's wife, Mary Newman. The Tamar Bridge was opened in the 1960s by Queen Elizabeth II's mother and was later reopened after extension by Princess Anne, Queen Elizabeth's daughter, in 2003.
