Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Mint Hill, Matthews, Mount Holly.

Answer: Charlotte

Charlotte is the county seat of Mecklenburg County, and its airport is a hub for US Airways.
2. Swissvale, Castle Shannon, Wilkinsburg.

Answer: Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, the county seat of Allegheny County, had to be included as it was the place of my birth. In addition to the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins, local sports fans enjoy Oakmont Country Club, located just outside the city. It hosted many of golf's US Open's and the PGA Championship.
3. Apple Valley, Richfield, St. Louis Park.

Answer: Minneapolis

Minneapolis, the site of the Metro Dome, is the frequent home of the NCAA Final Four. The Metro Dome has also hosted the Super Bowl and the World Series. Golf's US Open and the PGA Championship have been held at Hazeltine National Golf Club, located just outside of Minneapolis.
4. Overland Park, Lee's Summit, Gladstone.

Answer: Kansas City

Kansas City, KS is a suburb of Kansas City, MO (and vice versa). Kansas City, MO is home to the Chiefs of the NFL and the Royals of Major League Baseball.
5. Vestavia Hills, Hoover, Bessemer.

Answer: Birmingham

Birmingham, AL, the county seat of Jefferson County, is best known for its role in the steel industry. It is home to the Jefferson County Civic Center, a popular site for the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.
6. Buckeye, Fountain Hills, Surprise.

Answer: Phoenix

This question might have been easier if I mentioned Scottsdale and Tempe. It is hard to believe that a city in Arizona has a suburb named "Buckeye" considering that Ohio is the Buckeye state.
7. Pasadena, Missouri City, Pearland.

Answer: Houston

I could probably do an entire quiz on suburbs of Texas cities, but...oh well. I should have thrown in a Missouri or a California city to throw some people off.
8. Belleville, St. Ann, Florissant.

Answer: St. Louis

I guess this question would have been too easy if I said "East Saint Louis." Of the towns mentioned in the question, Belleville is in Illinois--the other two are in Missouri.
9. Germantown, Southaven, Bartlett.

Answer: Memphis

Memphis is home to the famous "Beale Street." Of the towns mentioned in the question, Southaven is in Mississippi. The other two are in Tennessee.
10. Yeadon, Cherry Hill, Media.

Answer: Philadelphia

Cherry Hill is in New Jersey. Yeadon and Media are both in Pennsylvania. Philadelphia is located on the Delaware and Schuylkill Rivers.
