Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who should you start as if you want to make it into the Conservatory in as few spaces as possible?

Answer: Mrs. Peacock

Mrs. Peacock is one of the six suspects, one of whom has killed Mr. Boddy. The other five are Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum, Mr. Green, Mrs. White, and Colonel Mustard.
2. What word is written on the Case File envelope?

Answer: CONFIDENTIAL

The envelope will contain one person (suspect) a weapon, and a room. The envelope goes on the "X" in the center of the board.
3. According to the official rules, who always moves first?

Answer: Miss Scarlet - the red token

After Miss Scarlet moves, play continues to the left.
4. On the notepads where each individual player records their cards (and those shown to them by others), which order do the three categories come in, top to bottom?

Answer: Suspects, Weapons, Rooms

There are six suspects, six weapons, and nine rooms.
5. Which room does the Study have a secret passage to?

Answer: the Kitchen

All four corner rooms have secret passages. The Kitchen and the Study connect to each other, and the Lounge and the Conservatory likewise.
6. What is the fewest number spaces one can move if he/she starts in the ballroom and has to reach the library?

Answer: 10

There are four doors in the ballroom, and two doors in the library. There are no rooms with only one exit (due to secret passges in the corner rooms). If you entered the Billiard Room first and then into the Library, you can make it there in 10 moves.
7. Officially, what must you do to win the game of Clue?

Answer: Make a fully correct accusation, on your turn

To make a suggestion, you must be in the room you are suggesting. An accusation, however, can be made anywhere on the board. You only get one accusation per game though, so make sure you know what you're talking about!
8. Which of the following is NOT the official name of a weapon included with a standard version of Clue?

Answer: gun

That was somewhat tricky: there is a "gun," but it's official name is the revolver. There are six weapons: the revolver, knife, candlestick, rope, lead pipe, and wrench.
9. How many doors does the Hall have?

Answer: three

The hall has one single door and a set of double doors. It is the only room with double doors.
10. Has Clue ever been produced with a theme, such as like "I Love Lucy" Monopoly, etc.?

Answer: Yes

There is a Simpson's Clue and a Scooby Doo Clue. There is also a Clue Jr., a Clue keychain, and Electronic Talking Clue FX Game, and the original has been reproduced.
