Rudiger Dorn was born in 1969. His first game "Cameo" was published in 1992. "Istanbul" was published in 2014 and was awarded the Kennerspiel des Jahres for it. Dorn was also nominated for various awards for his games "Jambo", "Arkadia", "Karuba" and "Luxor".
Daviau, Stegmaier and Borg are all American game designers.

Answer: Places

The 16 place cards are arranged in a four-by-four grid. Each place card represents a location in the bazaar such as warehouse, mosque, police station, post office, etc. The places are numbered from one to sixteen. Each place displays at the top its name, a place symbol, if applicable, the available action and at some places a reward of the game.

Answer: Wheelbarrow

To start with, each wheelbarrow allows the merchant to carry two of each of the goods that can be found in the bazaar. When the merchant collects enough money, he can go to the "Wainwright" and purchase an additional extension. This increases the capacity of the wheelbarrow and of course the goods that it can carry.

Answer: Lira

The game is played in Istanbul and the currency used there is the Lira. The player that starts the games gets two Lira and each subsequent player one more Lira than the previous one; thus, the second will receive three, the third four, etc. Each player also gets one of the bonus cards.

Answer: Caravansary

The bonus cards are stacked face down on the perimeter of the bazaar. Any cards that has been already played lie face up in the "Caravansary". The player takes two cards from either place. He then selects one of the two and puts the discarded one face-up on top of the pile in the "Caravansary". The bonus cards allow the player to gain goods, money, carry out a specific action twice, etc.

Each wheelbarrow has four indicators, that are set to empty to start with, that show how much of each good you have in your possession. When you get to a warehouse you move the indicator of the corresponding good all the way to the right. The capacity of the wheelbarrow depends on the number of extensions that you have purchased and can go up to a maximum of five.

The winner of the game is the player that manages to get five rubies. When only two players are playing the number of rubies needed is six. Apart from buying rubies using cash or exchanging goods for them, you can also get rubies by, for example, getting all the available extensions for your wheelbarrow.

Answer: Blue

The blue colour is for jewelry. The designer used a ring with a red stone on a blue background.

Answer: Lira

In the "Tea House" you nominate a number between three and twelve and you roll two dice. If the roll of the dice is equal to or greater than the number nominated you get that number in Lira. If you fail you get only two Lira.
The other place that the dice are used is the "Black Market". When you land in this place you get one of the other three goods and you roll both dice in order to get jewelry (blue). You get one blue if your roll totals seven or eight, two if your total is nine or ten and three if your total is 11 or more.

Answer: Two

There are two places called "Small Market" and "Large Market" where you can sell your goods. Each market has a corresponding stack of market tiles showing goods that are accepted. According to the goods that you are able to sell you get a maximum of 20 Lira in the "Small Market" and a maximum of 25 in the "Large Market".
At the "Sultan's Palace" you can exchange goods for rubies and at the "Gemstone Dealer" you buy rubies using the money that you have earned selling goods.
