Which of the following is a term for eating ones own body parts?

Answer: Autosarcophagy

The article appeared in one of Pakistan's newspapers, 'The Daily Times'. The man apparently became hungry and couldn't find anything in the house that he wanted to eat. His sister telephoned the police when she found him making the sandwich.

She definitely didn't suffer from onychophagia! What is the literal definition of onychophagia?

Answer: Nail eating

The literal meaning of onychophagia is 'nail eating', which derives from the Greek 'onych', which means finger or toe nail, and 'phagia', which means eating. The term is used to describe excessive, frequent nail biting.
