1. An easy one. In "The Hobbit" by J. R. R. Tolkein, on what day did Bilbo have tea with Gandalf?

Answer: Wednesday

Bilbo forgot all about tea with Gandalf because he forgot to write it on his Engagement Tablet. He was too flustered by Gandalf's talk of adventures to do anything other than have some cakes and a drink! Imagine his surprise when a dwarf turned up on the doorstep. And that one was followed by several more. And several more.
2. In "The Lord of the Rings" by J.R.R. Tolkien, what did Eowyn name herself when she dressed as a man so she could ride to war?

Several of his other books also make note of Ender, but are not based on him.
