An entry in 'The Silmarillion' states that this sword survived the sack of Doriath and came into the posession of the Kings of Numenor. No further mention of this sword is made.
2. By what name did the Orcs of the Misty Mountains refer to the twin swords, Glamdring and Orcrist?

Answer: Beater and Biter

They were found in a troll-hoard and according to Elrond, had been forged in Gondolin. Gandalf wielded Glamdring for the rest of the Third Age. Thorin Oakenshield claimed Orcrist and it was buried with him after he fell during the Battle of Five Armies.
