The Shire is the home of the hobbits, Fangorn is the home of the Ents. Hopefully that was an easy one!

Aragorn carried the sword Narsil, and Gandalf had Glamdring, a sword which he had found in the trolls' lair. The name means 'foe-hammer'. It was an ancient blade, made by the Noldor during the First Age.

These are of course pubs mentioned in the stories. It was just over a mile from Bag End to the Green Dragon, an inn popular with both Hobbiton and Bywater hobbits.

Feanor wrought the Silmarils during the First Age. They were the most beautiful works ever made, and caused great strife and war in Middle Earth. Celebrimbor was grandson to Feanor, and was the maker of the three Elven Rings, under the tutelage of Sauron (who then went on to forge the One Ring in secret). Celebrimbor was also responsible for the design on the Doors to Moria, which he crafted as a sign of the mutual esteem between elves and dwarves at that time.

The first hobbits mentioned were the mothers of the second. Belladonna was Primula's aunt.

Think family relationships: Theodred was Theoden's son, so he was Eomer's first cousin. Merry's closest cousin was Pippin.

Sam was Bill's main owner after the pony was purchased from Bill Ferny. Asfaloth was the horse ridden by Glorfindel. Movie fans - note that Arwen did NOT rescue Frodo from the Black Riders in the books!

They are both father-son relationships. The Elven-King who features in 'The Hobbit' must have been Thranduil, though his name is never mentioned.

Their nicknames of course. Fatty Bolger was Frodo's distant relative (hobbits had lots of relations!) and played an important part in assisting Frodo and his friends at the start of their great journey leading up to the War of the Ring. Later, Fatty played a key part in the hobbits' uprisings against Saruman, and was imprisoned in the Lockholes.

Answer: Gandalf the White

Narsil was the Sword-That-Was-Broken. Aragorn had it reforged in Rivendell, and renamed it Anduril. After Gandalf fell in battle with the Balrog in Moria, he was, in a sense, reborn. He was clothed in white by Galadriel , and became Gandalf the White.
