Monty went to visit his friend Jacob, who is a teacher at his old high school. He teaches English. When Monty entered the school, the principal immediately asked him to leave the premise. He told her he used to go there and showed her a picture of him in a team basketball photo.

Monty asked his friend Frank to rough him up, so that when he went to prison, no guy would want to mess with him. At first Frank didn't want to do it, but Monty kept riling him up to the point of no return. He also had a vision about what it would be like to be a grandparent sitting with his wife and children and their children telling them how he almost went to prison. As much as those visions were tempting, he still had his father take him to prison.
