Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm are both astronauts and are frequently at each other's throats about who is the the best pilot. Ben was formerly Johnny's Commanding Officer!
Johnny was originally sacked by NASA for sneaking underwear models into a flight simulator- and crashing it into a wall. Ben often describes Johnny as "The Underwear Model" and "Mr. Blonde Ambition"
Johnny pilots their shuttle which takes them to the Von Doom space station, and Ben is rather disgruntled when he discovers that he has to ride shotgun, and not pilot the mission himself.

Ben says this, upon taking out his suit, to Reed, who laughs, before Sue comes in and gives them their overalls.
Ben is widely known as the slightly coarser member of the group, Johnny's former NASA commanding officer, Reed's old school friend, and, to Victor, as the one who does the field work. He is hit worst by the cosmic storm, as he can't turn his power on and off. He is devastated when his wife, Debbie, can't see past the thing he has become, but soon finds solace in Alicia Masters, a blind woman from Brooklyn, where he used to live.

Reed and Sue have an uncomfortable relationship, as they used to be a couple and parted on what only can be viewed as hostile terms, but Reed realises that he still has feelings for her after the accident aboard the space station. He tells the nurse, who is putting vases of flowers about the room, that she is allergic to orchids, and the sunflowers should be placed by her bed. Reed brings a single white lily for Sue while she is asleep in the Von Doom Medical Facility.

After seeing the amount of flowers sent by Victor, he secretly drops it into the bin--not having noticed Sue waking up and hearing that he asks for the sunflowers to be placed by her bed.

Answer: Johnny

Johnny Storm is Sue's younger brother. He is the most hot-headed group member, and rarely thinks before he speaks. He morphs into the Human Torch--known to 'the ladies' as Torch. He experiences his powers first while snowboarding down a mountain with one of Victor's nurses. He can completely set on fire, remain impervious to other flame, fly, and even reach supernova.
First to experience their powers is Johnny, followed by Ben, Sue and Reed. Victor also notices some odd occurrences: when he touches his metal mirror, the lights in his room flicker.

After saying that he must do something about his scar, Von Doom's PA states that the scar is tracking well, and the masses seem to think that it humanises him, but Victor does not view this as a good thing. He gets the scar after the control panel aboard his space station explodes and he is hit by shards of metal.

Answer: Flying

One of the reporters in the crowd that has gathered on the bridge asks Johnny if it is true that he can fly. He responds by telling her that 'he's working on it' and 'it's actually really difficult'. Reed then interrupts, concluding the mass interview.
Johnny first discovers his powers on a snowboarding run down the mountain, when he falls and shoots--on fire--into a large snow drift, melting it, and creating a pool of hot water. Unfortunately, he also torches his ski wear!

Answer: "Don't do drugs!"

Ben finds that children are intimidated by him and, at loss for anything to say, he decides to warn the kids off taking drugs. This causes the parents and other adults in the crowd to clap for him, admiring his short words.

Answer: Supernova

Reed repeatedly asks Johnny to 'back it down', but Johnny keeps going hotter. Reed eventually has to spray him with extinguisher foam.
If Johnny reaches supernova, he could set fire to the Earth's atmosphere and kill himself and everyone. When Johnny is being tested at the Baxter Building, Reed is forced to use extinguishing foam on him to prevent him from completely melting his equipment and killing all human life as we know it. In his own words: "Supernova- bad!"

Answer: "Flame on!"

Unfortunately, whenever Johnny bursts into flame he torches his clothes, so he has to be sure to wear his Fantastic 4 uniform when flying! The uniform reacts along with its wearer because the four were wearing the suits when they got hit by the cosmic storm.

After turning to the dark side and capturing Reed, Victor sends a heat-seeking missile after Sue and Johnny. At a loss for what to do, Johnny puts faith in his abilities and jumps from the top of the Baxter Building. Plummeting downwards, and feet from the pavement, he shouts, "FLAME ON!", finding, for the first time, that he actually can fly properly.

Answer: Nose

Reed proposes to Sue aboard a boat while at a party thanking them for defeating Dr. Doom. He presents her with a broken gasket from space as an engagement ring, but in the next film, "The Silver Surfer", she is wearing a proper one.
