Evans, born on June 13th, 1981 in Boston, Massachusetts, was cast as Johnny Torch and his alter ego, The Human Torch. Johnny was the sister of Susan (her alter ego was Invisible Woman) and they all went up into space and were exposed to cosmic rays that altered their bodies. For Johnny, his new super power allowed him to have a body that could withstand high temperatures and even turn into a torch that flew at a fast speed. Midway through the film, Johnny competed at a dirt bike event, and got the support of much of the crowd but this also upset his sister as well as his friends, Ben Grim and Reed Richards.

Alba, a native of Pomona, California, landed the role of Sue Storm and her alter ego, Invisible Woman. Sue's super power was the ability to make herself appear invisible to others but this had a limited effect and only lasted for a certain time. In one scene, she lost her clothes while invisible, and her super power wore off and she appeared naked.

In many scenes, Sue and Johnny argued and she told him to not be so much of a hothead and a jerk. When Sue battled Victor Von Doom, she once told him he always thought of himself as a God but he really was not one. Victor attacked her but she managed to survive and she also fought back. Alba guest starred on the TV series "The Office", "Brooklyn South", and "Chicago Hope."

Chiklis, born in 1963 in Lowell, Massachusetts, portrayed Ben Grimm and his alter ego, The Thing. Ben's super power was being very big and having a greater ability than others to beat someone up. However, Ben showed a soft side when, in one scene, he saved people from falling over the Brooklyn Bridge. Throughout the movie, Ben and Johnny clashed but they eventually got over their differences and were friends again. Reed promised Ben he would build a machine to get him to revert back to his former size. Ben got tired of waiting for Reed's machine so Victor told Ben he could make this happen. Victor made it happen but Victor also became more powerful, at the same time, and saw that he did not have an oversized and muscular Ben to stop him. Ben reverted back to his bigger self and used his super power abilities to beat up Victor. Chiklis was in the films "Eagle Eye", "Carlo's Wake", and "Nixon."

Washington got the part of Alicia Masters. Alicia met Ben one night in a bar, and was the only one there who did not poke fun at him for his hideous appearance. This led Ben to be attracted to her and they started to date. Alicia, in a couple of scenes, encouraged Ben to not let his appearance get him down and to realize that all people were different but still human.

In the final scene, Alicia partied with Ben and his teammates (Johnny, Sue, and Reed) on a boat. Washington guest starred on the TV shows "Psych", "Boston Legal", and "The Guardian."

Gruffudd, born on October 6th, 1973 in Cardiff, Wales, was cast as Reed Richards and his alter ego, Mr. Fantastic. Reed was a scientist and competed with Victor to find the biggest breakthroughs in science. However, Reed was often criticized for being slower than Victor in finding breakthroughs, and for not being as ambitious.

At the end of the movie, Victor took Reed hostage and tried to freeze him but Sue saved Reed. In the final scene, Reed proposed marriage to Sue and she accepted his proposal. Gruffudd had roles in the films "Titanic", "W.", and "Black Hawk Down."

Weston had the small role of Victor's doctor. Victor had some problems so he went to his doctor to get checked out. During the exam, his doctor told him there was something very wrong with his body but he did not know what, specifically. Victor did not want to hear it so he killed his doctor and left the room. Weston guest starred on the TV series "The Hughleys", "Sex and the City", and "The West Wing."

Holden, a native of Los Angeles, California, had the small role of Debbie McIllvane. Debbie was Ben's wife and she was loyal to him until one night. On that night, Debbie told Ben over the phone that she had a surprise for him and he told her he had one for her as well.

McMahon, born in 1968 in Sydney, Australia, got the part of Victor von Doom. At first, Victor and Reed had a friendly rivalry over finding scientific breakthroughs, but it eventually got worse once Victor started to show his evil side. Near the end of the movie, Victor showed his power-hungry colors to Reed, and told him to look at him since that was how a man embraced his destiny.

At the end of the movie, the Fantastic Four used their super powers to freeze Victor but he was still alive. In the final scene, Victor was shown being hauled off on a cargo ship in a box but his eyes lit up, which indicated he was still alive. McMahon had guest starring characters on the TV shows "Will and Grace" and "G.P." He is best known for his portrayal of Dr. Christian Troy on the show, "Nip/Tuck."

Lee, born on December 22nd, 1922 in New York City, was cast as Willie Lumpkin. Willie was a mailman and often delivered mail to the Baxter Building, which was the headquarters of the Fantastic Four. It was revealed that, prior to the events of the film, Lumpkin recruited Reed Richards to work for the government. Willie's niece decided to be like her uncle and was a mail carrier as well.

The character of Willie Lumpkin also appeared on the "Fantastic Four" animated TV series. Lee was also in the films "Spider-Man 2", "Daredevil", and "The Ambulance."

Menounos, a native of Medford, Massachusetts had the small role of a beautiful nurse in "Fantastic Four." The nurse decided to take a look at Johnny after he was exposed to cosmic rays up in space. She put a thermometer in his mouth, and noticed that his temperature went way up.

She told Johnny he was hot and Johnny, in a cocky matter, thanked her and told her she was. However, she reminded him that it had to do with temperature. She informed Johnny nobody could figure out what was wrong with him but Johnny was only interested in flirting with her. Menounos guest starred on the TV series "Scrubs", "Without a Trace", and "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch."
