Answer: I Heart Huckabees

"I Heart Huckabees" is a 2011 comedy film starring Jason Schwartzman as Albert and Jude Law as Brad Strand. Albert and Brad are business rivals. Brad is an executive for a big box department store chain called Huckabees, while Albert works for a group of environmentalists who are working to stop the construction of more Huckabees stores. Dustin Hoffman and Lily Tomlin also star as Bernard and Vivian Jaffe, private detectives who help Albert figure a way to beat Brad.
2. Billy Hanson, whose gay lover is on trial for his murder

Answer: Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil

In this 1997 film, Kevin Spacey stars as Jim Williams a wealthy man who is secretly gay in the conservative city of Savannah, Georgia. John Cusack plays John Kelso, a reporter who is writing a feature about Williams. However, during the course of his reporting John meets Billy Hanson (Jude Law), who is Jim's younger lover. Jim goes on trial for Billy's murder, which John investigates.

The film is based on the 1994 book of the same name written by John Berendt which itself is based on true events.

In this 1999 film, Matt Damon stars as Tom Ripley. Tom is asked to go to Italy and find Dickie Greenleaf (Jude Law) and convince him to come home to the family business. Tom does so but finds Dickie is settled in Italy with his fiancée, Marge Sherwood (Gwyneth Paltrow). One day, Tom accidentally kills Dickie and then takes up his identity to make it appear Dickie is still alive. Tom has a hard time avoiding people who knew Dickie well, which causes him to resort to unsavory actions.

Jude Law was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar in 2000 for his role in this film but lost to Michael Caine for "The Cider House Rules".
4. Harlen Maguire, a crime scene photographer and assassin

Answer: Road to Perdition

In this 2002 film, set during the Great Depression, Tom Hanks stars as mob enforcer Michael Sullivan and Tyler Hoechlin plays his young son Michael Jr. Sullivan Sr. works for the mob boss John Rooney (Paul Newman). Rooney is not fond of his son Connor (Daniel Craig) especially when Connor kills an associate. Connor also kills Sullivan's wife and son Peter (Jennifer Jason Leigh and Liam Aiken). Jude Law stars as Harlen Maguire, a mob associate who is hired to kill Sullivan before Sullivan can kill Connor.
5. Mr. Cabret, a clockmaker

Answer: Hugo

"Hugo" is a 2011 film starring Asa Butterfield as the titular Hugo Cabret, a young boy who loves movies in 1931 Paris, and Chloe Grace Moretz as his friend Isabelle. Jude Law has a brief role as Hugo's father. Mr. Cabret is killed in a fire but he dies before he can refurbish an automaton for his son. Hugo is forced to work maintaining a clock at the railway station and collects the spare parts for the automaton while at work. Hugo is caught stealing from the local toy maker Georges (Ben Kingsley) who takes his father's notebook, something Hugo treasures. Isabelle is Georges' goddaughter and she helps Hugo get the book back. Together Hugo and Isabelle discover that the automaton is some kind of film projector that plays "A Trip to the Moon" which was made by Georges.

However, this revelation angers Georges who forbids Isabelle to be friends with Hugo.

Answer: All the King's Men

"All the Kings Men" is a 2006 political film. Although the film is fiction, it is based on the life of Louisiana Governor Huey Long. Willie Stark (the Huey Long-like character) is played by Sean Penn. Stark is a lawyer who is persuaded to run for governor by Tiny Duffy (James Gandolfini).

However Stark finds out that he was never meant to be a serious candidate, only a goat to split the vote and allow another candidate to win. Stark takes offense to this and decides to run a serious campaign. Jude Law plays Jack Burden, a reporter who becomes Stark's political advisor. Patricia Clarkson plays Sadie Burke, Stark's political strategist.
7. Vasily Zaytsev, a Russian soldier during World War II

Answer: Enemy at the Gates

"Enemy at the Gates" is a 2001 film that tells the story of the Battle of Stalingrad during World War II. Jude Law plays Vasily Zaytsev. Vasily is not considered to be a good soldier and is expected to sacrifice himself during a battle. Instead, he manages to save his life and that of Commissar Danilov (Joseph Fiennes). Vasily soon becomes a national hero but he also becomes a major target of German General Erwin Konig (Ed Harris) who wants to kill Vasily to demoralize the Soviet Union.
8. Remy, who takes back people's organs

Answer: Repo Men

"Repo Men" is a 2010 science fiction film starring Jude Law as Remy and Forest Whitaker as Jake, the titular repo men. The film takes place in the future where medical technology is so advanced that scientists have built mechanical organs. It is the job of the repo men to repossess the organs of people who do not pay their medical bills.

This causes the patients to die. Remy loves his job but his wife Carol (Carice van Houten) does not especially when their son Peter (Chandler Canterbury) becomes interested.
9. W.P. Inman, a Confederate soldier

Answer: Cold Mountain

"Cold Mountain" is a 2003 film starring Jude Law as W.P. Inman, a young confederate soldier who deserts the army when he is injured. Inman deserts because he realizes the Confederacy is not going to win the Civil War and he fears being killed or imprisoned. He deserts to return to his hometown of Cold Mountain, North Carolina to reunite with Ada (Nicole Kidman) his fiancée whom he left behind to join the army. The film is told from the perspectives of both Inman in the army and Ada as she awaits Inman's return.

Jude Law was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar in 2003 for his role in this film but lost to Sean Penn for "Mystic River".
10. Gigolo Joe, a robotic prostitute

Answer: A.I. Artificial Intelligence

In this 2001 science fiction film, Haley Joel Osment stars as David, a robot or mecha child. David is sent to live with the Swintons (Frances O'Connor and Sam Robards) to replace their terminally ill son, Martin (Jake Thomas). However, Martin recovers from his disease and hates David. So David is abandoned in the woods.

He is saved from his misadventures by Jude Law's Gigolo Joe, who himself is a renegade mecha on the run from murder charges.
