1. Jack Carson, Zachary Scott and Joan Crawford all appeared in "Hollywood Canteen". In what other film did the three of them appear?

Answer: Mildred Pierce

Nominated for six Oscars, "Mildred Pierce" won only one, with Joan Crawford taking the Best Actress Oscar. It is the story of Mildred Pierce, whose spoiled and ungrateful daughter has an affair with Mildred's second husband, Monte. When Monte is murdered, Mildred confesses, but did she really do it?
2. Jack Carson starred with Doris Day in her film debut. Which film was it?

Answer: Romance On The High Seas

Jack and Doris made three films together: "Romance On The High Seas" in 1948, "My Dream Is Yours" and "It's A Great Feeling" in 1949. There's a hilarious scene in "Romance On The High Seas" where Jack Carson and Oscar Levant are sitting in a bar, lamenting their women problems.

They keep ordering drinks, but while they're talking, an old man keeps going from one side to the other, drinking their drinks. Jack and Oscar begin slurring their words and thinking that they're getting drunk, when they barely had a drop to drink. Doris Day sings "It's Magic" near the end of the film.
3. In the film "It's A Great Feeling", Jack Carson plays himself as one of the leads. Who was NOT in the film playing himself or herself?

Answer: Dorothy Lamour

Costarring Dennis Morgan and Doris Day, "It's A Great Feeling" was released in 1949. There are many cameos, including the daughter of Ronald Reagan and Jane Wyman, Maureen Reagan. Watch for Joan Crawford's cameo, it's cute.
4. In which Alfred Hitchcock film did Jack Carson appear?

Answer: Mr. and Mrs. Smith

"Mr. and Mrs. Smith" was released in 1941, and also stars Robert Montgomery and Carole Lombard as a couple who find out that they aren't legally married. The laughs abound when they both begin dating others, and both become jealous. Yes, Alfred Hitchcock made a comedy.
5. Which of the following films stars Jack Carson, Jack Lemmon and Judy Holliday?

Answer: Phffft!

"Phffft!" was released in 1954, and also stars Kim Novak. Lemmon and Holliday play a couple who divorce, but can't stay out of each other's lives. Jack plays Jack's buddy. I guess they could have called this film 'Two Jacks and a Queen'! It's too bad Judy Holliday didn't make more films in her career, she's a wonderful comedienne.
6. With which actress did Jack Carson appear in the most films?

Answer: Bess Flowers

Between 1923 and 1964, Bess Flowers appeared in 499 films, mostly in uncredited parts. She was known as the "Queen of the Hollywood Extras". The films she appeared in include: "The Manchurian Candidate", "Rear Window", and "All About Eve". She and Jack Carson appeared in 11 films together.
