Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Well I'd take a good look lads. This night might well be the last you spend in this castle. Oh dear, we are in trouble." - Argus Filch (2002)

Answer: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Unable to take the Hogwarts Express, Harry and Ron fly Mr. Weasley's bewitched car to school for the fall term. Unfortunately the car is seen by muggles, and they accidentally crash the car into the Whomping Willow, a very valuable tree. As they are rushing to reach the great hall in time for the feast, they run into the caretaker, Filch, who delights in seeing students punished.
2. "Look, spaghetti arms! This is my dance space - this is your dance space. I don't go into yours, and you don't go into mine." - Johnny Castle (1987)

Answer: Dirty Dancing

Baby, played by Jennifer Grey and her family are spending a vacation at Kellerman's Resort. While there Baby finds that she has more in common with the younger staff than she does with the other guests. This line occurs when the dance instructor, played by Patrick Swayze, is teaching her how to dance so that she can fill in for Penny at a performance they have to do at a neighbouring hotel.
3. "Lovely story Watson, but on page 2 you have me admitting a mistake." - Holmes "A writer must write of what he knows." - Watson (1988)

Answer: Without a Clue

This very funny movie is based on the premise that Dr. John Watson is the real brains behind the famous detective duo, and Holmes is merely a second-rate actor that he hired to play the part. However once saddled with the character of Holmes, he is unable to rid himself of the bumbling sot, because he can't get anyone to take him seriously.

This quote is an example of the interchange between the two.
4. "The suck zone - it's the point, basically, when the twister sucks you up. That's not the technical term for it, obviously." - Dusty (1996)

Answer: Twister

Part of Dr. Harding's storm chasing crew, Dusty is explaining to Melissa what they're trying to accomplish by getting into the paths of tornadoes. Melissa is only there because her fiancé, played by Bill Paxton, is trying to get his ex-wife, played by Helen Hunt, to sign divorce papers.
5. "And until we can see each other as equals, justice is never going to be evenhanded. It will remain no more than a reflection of our own prejudices." - Jake Tyler Briggance (1996)

Answer: A Time to Kill

When two rednecks brutally rape and beat his young daughter, leaving her for dead, Carl Lee, played by Samuel Jackson, makes sure that they're made to pay for their crimes. Briggance, played by Matthew McConaughy, is the lawyer Carl Lee chooses to defend him in his trial for the murder of the two boys.

The trial soon becomes a media circus, because it is very much a trial about the inequities of the judicial system in the deep south, when colour is involved.
6. "I am not insane. I am a sane man fighting for his soul." - Renfield from his insane asylum, waiting for the coming of his master (1992)

Answer: Dracula

Renfield was a good and loyal servant to the Count, who had promised him eternal life for his devotions. While he waited, Renfield devoured any insect that entered his cell, trying to absorb his life force the way that Dracula took the life force of his victims.

This was part of a conversation that took place between Renfield and Dr. Seward, when he became more agitated as Dracula approached England.
7. "What did you do...wake up this morning and say, 'Today I'm going to ruin a man's life.'?" - Jack Coulton (1984)

Answer: Romancing the Stone

While trying to save her sister, Joan Wilder finds herself pursued by two groups of bad guys, both of them after the treasure map that her now dead brother-in-law had sent her. Jack Coulton stumbles across one of the attempts to forcibly take the map from her, and becomes her reluctant, at first, rescuer.

This line is delivered early in their relationship when his jeep gets hit by the bus, the birds he was collecting escape, and he's exchanging gunfire with her attacker.
8. "Did you kill Jimmy Angelov?" - Gary Hallet "Yeah, a couple of times." - Sally Owens (1998)

Answer: Practical Magic

Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are sisters who are also witches. When Nicole's character gets trapped in a very bad relationship, they accidentally kill the man threatening to brand her by overdosing him with Bella Donna. Using the craft, they bring him back to life, but what comes back is so completely evil, they kill him again (or so they believe) with a frying pan. Aidan Quinn plays the investigating officer who Sally (Bullock) finds that she just can't lie to, because he is her one true love.
9. "Don't worry, nobody dies in this story. They just get really big boo-boos." - the Narrator (1997)

Answer: George of the Jungle

After Ursula is 'kidnapped' by the white ape, her obnoxious fiancé, Lyle, drags the guides off in search of her. As they cross a 'very dangerous bridge', Lyle jumps up and down on the bridge to prove it is safe, causing one of the guides to plummet to the river below. Brendan Fraser and Leslie Mann star in this very funny movie based on the old cartoon.
10. "On the day of my judgement, when I stand before God, and He asks me why did I kill one of his true miracles, what am I gonna say? That it was my job?" - Paul Edgecomb (1999)

Answer: The Green Mile

In charge of Death Row, Edgecomb, played by Tom Hanks, has seen many men put to death. When it's time to execute John Coffey, Edgecomb finds himself struggling with the knowledge that Coffey is innocent, and that he possesses the gift of healing. He offers Coffey a chance to escape, but Coffey refuses to take it.
