1. (1988) "Touching cowboy, touching. Or should I call you Mr. McClane...Mr. Officer John McClane of the New York Police Department?" - Hans Gruber

Answer: Die Hard

Flying in on Christmas Eve to try and patch things up with his estranged wife, John McClane finds her, and her whole staff being held hostage by a group of international thieves out to steal $600 million in bonds. McClane becomes their worst nightmare, as he interferes with their plans, killing off a few of them in the process. This quote is delivered over the radio, when the leader of the thieves finally learns the identity of the man giving them so much trouble.
John McTiernan directed Bruce Willis, and a wonderfully evil Alan Rickman in this action-packed film.
2. (1999) "Walking around like regular people. They don't see each other. They only see what they want to see. They don't know they're dead." - Cole Sear "How often do you see them?" - Malcolm Crowe "All the time." - Cole Sear

Answer: The Sixth Sense

Noted psychologist Malcolm Crowe was shot by a patient whom he had failed to help. Now he has a chance to redeem himself by helping a second young boy who suffers from the same affliction...he sees dead people. This exchange takes place between Crowe and his young patient, fairly early on in their professional relationship, when they are getting to know each other. It also turns out to be rather prophetic.
Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment starred under M. Night Shyamalan's direction.
3. (1998) "The United States Government just asked us to save the world. Anybody wanna say no?" - Harry Stamper

Answer: Armageddon

A huge asteroid (about the size of Texas) is hurtling towards the Earth, threatening to put an end to all life as we know it. The only way to prevent a collision is to land on the asteroid, drill into its core, and explode a nuclear device to divert its path. A team of world class oil drillers is hired to teach astronauts the procedures, but it is soon decided that there isn't enough time to teach them properly, and the oil drilling team goes up instead.
Bruce Willis, Billy Bob Thornton, Ben Affleck and Liv Tyler starred under Michael Bay's direction.
4. (2001) "I'll make dinner." - Kate Wheeler "I cook the dinners around here." - Terry Lee Collins "Sorry, not familiar with the outlaw code." - Kate Wheeler

Answer: Bandits

After breaking out of prison, Joe Blake and his hypochondriac partner, Terry Lee Collins, become known as the "Sleepover Bandits" because of their pattern of holding bank managers hostage overnight, and robbing their banks the next day. When they kidnap a young, bored housewife, she refuses to leave, and before too long they find that they're both in love with her. This exchange is early in their relationship, when her presence and desire to fit in is driving the hypochondriac crazy.
Barry Levinson directed Cate Blanchett, Billy Bob Thornton and Bruce Willis in this very funny movie.
5. (2000) "When do I learn how to drive?" - Rusty Duritz "When you're sixteen." - Russ Duritz "When do I get a car?" - Rusty Duritz "When you're eighteen." - Russ Duritz

Answer: The Kid

Image consultant Russ Duritz is a mean and cynical man. When he finds himself somehow being paid a visit by his eight-year-old self, he's forced to look at the events in his life that shaped who he became, and make some long needed changes.
The interplay between Spencer Breslin and Bruce Willis is absolutely delightful, in this Disney film that was directed by Jon Turtletaub.
6. (2000) "It doesn't matter how many people I've killed - what matters is how I get along with the people who are still alive." - Jimmy 'The Tulip' Tudeski

Answer: The Whole Nine Yards

Life isn't good for Nicholas Oseransky. He's trapped in a truly horrible marriage, and he's just found out that his new next door neighbour is a hit man who's wanted by the Chicago mob. This quote is Jimmy's rather unique way of trying to make Nicholas feel better about living next door to a hit man.
Jonathan Lynn directed Brude Willis, Matthew Perry, Rosanna Arquette and Michael Clarke Duncan in this very funny film.
7. (1995) "I'll tell you what you problem is, you don't like me because you're a racist." - John McClane "What?" - Zeus Carver "You're a racist. You don't like me because I'm white." - John McClane "I don't like you because you're going to get me killed." - Zeus Carver

Answer: Die Hard With a Vengeance

John McClane finds himself trapped in a deadly game of Simon Says with the brother of a terrorist that he'd killed a few years back. Any non-compliance on John's part will result in the detonation of a bomb, which will kill innocent people. When Simon demands that John walk around Harlem wearing a racist sign, shopkeeper Zeus Carver tries to keep him from being killed on his doorstep.

His repayment for this act of kindness is to be bound to McClane, by the terrorist, and forced to join him in his deadly game.

This exchange is one of the many exchanges where they show their frustration with each other. Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson and Jeremy Irons starred under John McTiernan's direction.
8. (2000) "I'm gonna ask you a question, and it's going to sound a little weird, so just think about it. DO you remember me ever being sick?" - David Dunn "I don't, I can't remember." - Audrey Dunn "No cold, no fever, no headache...isn't that a little weird?" - David Dunn

Answer: Unbreakable

Not only has David Dunn never been sick a day in his life, but he's also walked away unscratched from a train crash that killed 131 people. Elijah Price is the opposite - he's so fragile and has broken so many bones that he's earned himself the nickname "Mr. Glass". Dunn never gave much thought to his remarkable health until Price sought him out to explain his bizarre theory...that Dunn is unbreakable, and a true comic-book style hero.

This exchange takes place between Dunn and his wife, when he's still struggling with the concept that he really has never been sick. Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson and Robin Wright Penn starred under M. Night Shyamalan's direction.
9. (1994) "I do believe Marsellus Wallace, my husband and your boss, told you to take me out and do whatever I wanted. Now, I wanna dance, and I wanna win. I want that trophy, so dance good." - Mia Wallace

Answer: Pulp Fiction

This bizarre film, by Quentin Tarantino, links 4 different vignettes of violent and criminal activity. This quote is said just before the very famous dance scene, by Mia Wallace to one of the hit men who works for her husband. Uma Thurman, John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Ving Rhames and Bruce Willis star.
10. It's bonus question time. Which actor starred in "The Kid", "Die Hard", "The Jackal", "Blind Date", and all these other films?

Answer: Bruce Willis

Walter Bruce Willis was born on March 19, 1955 in West Germany. He did most of his growing up in New Jersey.
