Ellen DeGeneres plays the part of our main character, Martha. She is single and has a career in television, working for an early morning show. She meets Whitman (Bill Pullman) at a restaurant. Whitman is a successful, wealthy investor who writes poetry on the side.

After Whitman meets Martha's parents, he tells her that he wasn't really being himself around them. Martha tells him that he should just relax and be himself. This is when Whitman really shows his true colors, his crazy, obsessed colors.

Answer: He steals beer from a convenience store.

After Martha and Whitman have their talk about him being himself, he tells Martha he wants to have some fun. Martha wants nothing to do with it, but Whitman shoves a beer in her jacket. On the way out of the store, the beer falls from her jacket onto the floor and explodes.

The clerk realizes they are stealing from him and chases them into the parking lot with a bat. They hop in the car and get away. I guess he's just being himself stealing some beer and drinking on the drive home!

Answer: He breaks his pinky finger.

After several weird incidents, like stealing beer and playing charades with Whitman's crazy mother, Martha decides she can no longer date Whitman. After she breaks up with him, he says, "How much do you think I love you? Enough to break my own finger". Then he bends it backwards, wraps a napkin around it and says, "That's love."

Inga is Whitman's obsessed ex-girlfriend. First, Inga calls Martha and tells her not to date Whitman anymore. When Martha continues to see Whitman, Inga and her new boyfriend, Bob, sneak into Martha's apartment and give her a second warning to stay away.

Answer: She tried to commit suicide.

When Martha wakes up in the hospital, Whitman is with her and so is an ugly engagement ring. He tells her family that she tried to commit suicide.

When Whitman falls asleep in Martha's hospital room, she sneaks out the window. She waves down a car driving through the parking lot. She gets in and it turns out to be Inga and Bob.

Answer: Ants and honey

When Martha unknowingly hops into their car, Inga and Bob take her to the desert. They chain her to a boulder and spread honey on her face. Bob is just about to pour the ants on her face, but he notices they have died. So Inga's back up plan is to cut Martha's heart out.

Answer: Whitman

When Whitman sees Inga about to stab Martha, he shoots her in the arm. It was just a little scratch though. He tells Inga and Bob to leave her alone and then takes poor Martha to an R.V. he bought for them to travel in.

Answer: He wants to make her marry him.

When Whitman takes Martha to the R.V., he tells her that he's taking her to Mexico to get married. Of course she doesn't want to because he's a crazy, lunatic, stalker.

Answer: Borrowed children

Whitman tells Martha that they now have children and shows her the two kids in the back of the R.V. She is worried he kidnapped them and tries to take them with her away from Whitman. However, they have guns, and tell her to stay. They actually have water guns, but Martha thinks they're real.

Answer: A Le Baron

Whitman trades in his beautiful, posh Jaguar for an ugly Le Baron convertible. When Martha asks him why he did it, he says the Le Baron is a little more him.

Answer: "I Want to Know what Love Is" by Foreigner

Whitman likes older music like R.E.O. Speedwagon and Boston. The children in the choir sing it really slowly, so it's sort of hard to tell that it's Foreigner.

Answer: No

If I were her, I would shoot him. Martha secretly calls her friend from work, Walter, from a bathroom phone in Mexico during a pit stop. She tells him where the wedding is going to be and to bring a gun. He shows up with a gun just as they're about to be married.

He trips on his shoelace and drops the gun, but Martha picks it up and threatens to shoot Whitman. Martha shoots the gun towards Whitman, but doesn't hit him. It is actually Inga who shoots Whitman from the balcony of the church at the very moment that Martha shoots.

Inga is actually trying to shoot Martha, not Whitman.

Answer: He loved her from afar. It wasn't far enough.

The correct tagline for this movie is appropriate because she obviously wants nothing to do with him, and wants him far, far away. 'Together forever, or else' is from "Fear" with Reese Witherspoon. 'Obsession is in the eye of the beholder' is from "Eye of the Beholder" with Ashley Judd. 'He loves her.

She loves him not' is from one of my favorite movies, "Just Friends". It's been nice quizzing you!
