This film, released in 1916, was an adaption of the Jules Verne novel of the same name (although it also included some plot elements of another novel, "The Mysterious Island"). It follows the adventures of Captain Nemo and his crew, who travel all around the world in the submarine Nautilis.
2. Which of these films was a silent war movie that featured Rudolph Valentino doing the tango?

Answer: The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

Based on the Spanish novel of the same name, this film was released in 1921 and was Valentino's first major picture. He plays Julio, a young man caught having an affair with a married woman before the outbreak of World War I disrupts all their lives.
3. What is the two word title of the Marx Brothers' film featuring Groucho as Rufus T. Firefly, leader of Freedonia?

Answer: Duck Soup

"Duck Soup" was the third Marx Brothers film. It tells the story of fictional country Freedonia, trying to avoid bankruptcy and war with its neighbour Sylvania. It did not perform as well at the box office as their first two movies, but nowadays many critics acclaim it as their best film.
4. Which Orson Welles film is a mystery surrounding a man called Harry Lime?

Answer: The Third Man

"The Third Man", released in 1949, features a memorable opening theme played on a zither. The plot revolves around Harry Lime (played by Orson Welles), a man who is presumed dead after a set of mysterious criminal activity surrounding him and his acquaintances.
5. In the 1957 courtroom drama, there were 12 of what kind of men in the title?

Answer: Angry

The title "12 Angry Men" refers to the number of jurors, all of whom were men, serving in a court case. It follows the process of their decision about whether to find the defendant, an 18-year old Hispanic boy, guilty of the stabbing murder of his father. A remake of the movie was released in 1997.
6. Which movie sees a young man telling an older woman, called Mrs Robinson, that she is trying to seduce him?

Answer: The Graduate

Dustin Hoffman plays Benjamin Braddock, a recent college graduate who is 21 and yet to decide where to take his life. Thus begins an interesting love triangle with an older woman, Mrs Robinson, and her daughter, Elaine. The film includes a strange scene involving Benjamin entering a pool in snorkelling gear.
7. Which bird's name helps complete this title: "One Flew Over the ______ Nest"?

Answer: Cuckoo's

The film, shot entirely in the Oregon State Hospital, starred Jack Nicholson as Randle McMurphy, who is the sanest of all the inmates of a psychiatric institution that he has been sent to for evaluation. The film won 5 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.

Answer: The Princess Bride

The book begins with a story about Buttercup and her farmboy Wesley, who is in love with her. Many twists to the story and many great one-liners make this film a true 1980's cult classic.
