Mick Dundee, the character played by Paul Hogan is a larger-than-life Aussie outback larrikin. In this particular part of the movie Mick is walking in NYC with Sue (Linda Kozlowski) when a would-be mugger produces a switch blade knife and demands Mick's wallet. Sue says "You should do what he says Mick, he's got a knife!" Mick Dundee then replies "That's not a knife" [pulls a crocodile skinning knife with a twelve inch blade from a scabbard on his hip] and says "THAT'S a knife!"

"Mad Max 2" (1981) became a hugely successful sequel to "Mad Max" ("Road Warrior" in the US). Rarely does a sequel absolutely smash the original in the box office!
This was one of my favourite lines from this movie, what a car.. jet black XB Falcon hardtop, blown 351ci, nitrous... Hmmm.

"Breaker Morant" (1980), is based on a true story. Lt Harry (Breaker) Morant - played by Edward Woodward, and two other Australian officers are on trial to be court-martialled in a British court for shooting twelve Boer prisoners and accidentally a German missionary, although under specific orders from senior British officers.
Harry Morant earned the nickname 'Breaker' from his pre-Army days as a well known horse breaker.
Jack Thompson starred as Major J.F. Thomas the inexperienced defence lawyer (formerly a conveyancing solicitor) given the monumental task of defending the undefendable. (The court-martial was a foregone conclusion before the trial even started).

They have all collaborated together for many well-known Aussie television comedies, including "Frontline", "The Panel", "The Hollowmen", "The D Generation", "Thank God You're Here" and "The Late Show".

Based on a true story, it stars Sam Neill as Cliff Buxton, one of several characters based at the satellite dish in the country town of Parkes, NSW. NASA have given control of the lunar landing and the movie contains some hilarious moments including a visit from the Prime Minister.

Michael Caton made a very good film so much the better with his fantastic performance as Darryl Kerrigan, the proud patriarch of a family living next to an airport that is planning to expand requiring more land. That includes the Kerrigan home, as in the phrase 'a man's home is his castle'.
It is the very funny story of the little Aussie battler trying to hold onto something that is very near and dear to the heart, the family home.

Anyone who hasn't seen this movie should, any Aussie should've already watched this comedy classic!
'Bud' Tingwell portrays the QC Lawrence Hammill who goes in to bat for the Kerrigan's in court.
