John Amplas plays the title role in this classic low budget horror gem. Martin may not have fangs, nor does he need to stay out of direct sunlight, but he does truly believe that he is a vampire. This film has been said to be Romero's personal favorite of all his movies.

He plays the role of Father Howard, while Tom Savini (another horror icon) plays the role of Arthur. 'Martin' was made on an estimated budget of $80,000.

Romero has worked with Argento prior to this film on 'Dawn of the Dead'. Argento directed a segment called 'The Black Cat', while Romero directed 'The Facts in the Case of Mr. Valdemar'. Originally it was supposed to be done with four short films by four different directors that also included John Carpenter and Wes Craven, but the latter two pulled out of the project leaving just Romero and Argento to each direct their own film segment of the film. Argento is famous in his own right with a very impressive filmography that includes 'Suspiria' (1977), 'Demons' (1985) and 'Mother of Tears' (2007) just to name a few.

'The Crazies' is about a small town in Pennsylvania that becomes overrun with a man-made virus meant to be used for the military. Turns out the side effects are killer! People who become infected go insane and eventually die! While insane they have the urge to hurt others, even causing death! The military men dressed in white quarantine suits do what they must in order to contain the virus! Bill Hinzman, who is the first zombie seen in 'Night of the Living Dead', has a small role as a "crazy".

This 2007 movie is a bit different from Romero's other films. Rpmero takes this film more in the direction of the whole "found footage" style flick, but without the severe movement of the shaky camera that makes most people nauseous! We get to see what the filmmakers see, usually at the time they see it... which adds to the suspense. Watching all the zombie action through a video camera gives the viewer the feeling of actually being there when the apocalypse is happening.

In this film, scientists are using an underground compound to experiment on the undead to try and make them more human and docile. The most advanced zombie creation is "Bub". He knows how to hold a gun, he listens to music, and even knows how to salute. Of course, this may all seem like fun and games at first.

But this is a George A. Romero film, so as one would imagine... things turn very ugly!

Answer: They're Creeping Up on You

'They're Creeping Up on You' is about a mean, rich businessman named Upson Pratt who lives as a hermit in an all white upscale apartment. When the city has a blackout, Mr. Pratt finds himself helplessly fighting off cockroaches. First there's only one, then two... then hordes of them! 'Creepshow' spawned two sequels, but most fans will say that the original film is the best by far! Stephen King himself stars as the title role in "The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill".
