Thanos v. Avengers Round 2 - "Avengers: Endgame" Quiz

Answer: Paper Football

They play paper football (whether or not it was actual paper for the football). It took Nebula a while to understand the concept of the game, but once she did, she was able to kick a few field goals. She ends up winning (although Tony presumably let her, as he goes from being able to kick one easily to being unable to hit the goal at all).

Answer: Rocket Raccoon

The gauntlet was fused to Thanos's hand after he used the stones to destroy themselves. But, when Captain Marvel crashed through his home and grabbed him, Thor cut off his hand, and the gauntlet fell to the floor. Rocket turns it over to reveal that there are no stones in the gauntlet. Once Thanos tells them what he did, Thor cuts off his head, playing to the taunt that Thanos gave him in "Infinity War".

The heroes are realize that they lost, and failed all of those that were turned to dust.

Answer: Whales

After the meeting that Natasha had she seemed defeated after hearing that Clint (Hawkeye) had killed members of a gang in Mexico. Steve tells Natasha that he saw whales on his way in. "In the Hudson?" she asks. He nods, and tries to spin it as a positive about their situation post-Snap. Without the boats in the rivers, the whales moved in, undoubtedly because there was less pollution in the water as well.

This went to show how Steve was trying to be as positive as possible, given the situation. It was also an effort to cheer up Natasha, who had taken on most of the responsibility of keeping the remaining Avengers together, and was struggling trying to find positives in any of their situations.

Answer: Hulk and Rocket Raccoon

Hulk and Rocket go to visit Thor in New Asgard. They were the best people to do so, since Hulk and Thor bonded during the events of "Thor: Ragnarok", and Rocket and Thor bonded during the events of "Avengers: Infinity War". Thor was in a bad shape after killing Thanos, blaming himself for not being able to save everyone.

The two Avengers were able to bribe Thor onto their ship, promising him beer if he got on board.

Answer: The Ancient One

Tilda Swinton's character the Ancient One is in possession of the Time Stone. She tells Hulk that he is about five years too early to get it from Stephen Strange, as he has not become Sorcerer Supreme yet. Hulk then tries to take the stone from the Ancient One, who knocks Hulk into his astral form to prevent him from taking it. Only after explaining that Dr. Strange gave up the time stone in the future did the Ancient One give the stone to Hulk. Hulk promised that they would put all of the stones back where they needed to be.

Baron Mordo was in "Doctor Strange", but did not appear in this movie. He was never in possession of the time stone.

Doctor Voodoo is a Doctor Strange character that has been hinted at, but has not actually appeared in the MCU up to this point.

Answer: Axe

After watching the 2012 Avengers apprehend Loki, Tony Stark and Scott Lang move in to infiltrate the group to steal the Space Stone from them. Ant Man shrinks down and sneaks onto 2012 Tony to wait for the next part of their plan, which is disconnecting Tony's arc reactor in his chest to distract the other Avengers so that they are able to steal the Space Stone.

When Scott first sneaks on 2012 Tony, he asks if that Tony was really wearing Axe body spray. Tony defends his past self, saying that he only kept it for emergencies.

Answer: James Rhodes

James Rhodes, or War Machine if you will, didn't understand why they couldn't just use the time machine to go back and strangle baby Thanos, so he couldn't snap away half of the universe in the first place. Bruce Banner explains that time travel does not work that way, and that what has happened, happened. Anything they do would not affect their time lines at all, they would potentially be changing another timeline.

Answer: Star Lord

Rhodey and Nebula get to watch Star Lord do his dance from the first "Guardians" movie as he goes to steal the power stone. Star Lord uses a rat for a microphone, while kicking others as the music plays. Then, it pans out, revealing Star Lord basically shrieking the lines of the song. Rhodes looks at Nebula and says, "So he's an idiot?", to which Nebula only responds, "Yeah."

Answer: Slaps him in the face and gives him a pep talk

Rocket keeps telling Thor to "come here" as Thor slips further and further into his panic attack, and it comes to a sudden stop when Rocket slaps him in the face. He tells Thor that they have the opportunity to get Rocket's family back, since they are only "kinda gone". Thor then starts crying and later panics when he sees his mother, but they do end up getting the Aether.

Answer: Scott Lang

Scott Lang is the first to react to the Post-Hulk Snap. He hears birds chirping outside and he walks over to the window, seeing that life seems to have returned to normal. Soon later, Clint Barton's phone rings, as his wife calls him. He tearfully answers. That is when Scott says this line, shortly before a missile from Thanos's warship blew up the Avengers Compound.

Answer: Hawkeye

Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America all confront Thanos as they don't know where the Gauntlet is, but they plan to just keep it away from the Titan. They have an epic four-man fight, where Thanos counters all three of the Avengers with his sword. In this fight, we see Captain America's shield shattered, Thor nearly killed, and Iron Man defeated as well. Thanos may have won if Captain America had not wielded Mjolnir to fend off the Mad Titan.

Hawkeye, for his part, was busy keeping the Gauntlet away from the Outriders, and then keeping it away from the 2014 Nebula after he escaped them.

Answer: 2014 Gamora

Star Lord fights off some Outriders and then encounters 2014 Gamora. He stops in wonder and puts his hand on her shoulder, and she kicks him twice below the belt, which leaves him groaning on the ground. This Gamora didn't share the same experiences that her future self had, and so there was no experience of falling in love with Peter Quill, to his chagrin.

Answer: "I am inevitable."

Thanos says this at the beginning of the film, after he destroyed the Infinity Stones. Then, Thor cuts off his head, and the Avengers are left to recover, unable to save everyone they lost.

2014 Thanos saw the recording of that attack, and used the same line when he was about to snap away everyone. But, Iron Man is able to get the stones out of the Gauntlet and into his own hands so that he is able to defeat Thanos.

Answer: Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel takes it from Peter after he had been swung around the battlefield. He also fights off a group of Outriders, until Captain Marvel approaches him. She takes it from him, and then proceeds to fight Thanos for a while, before he knocks her down with the Power Stone.

Answer: Thor

Thor joins the Guardians of the Galaxy, also teasing that he was in charge of the group, much to the chagrin of Star Lord. The rest of the group likes Thor, dating back to the events of Infinity War, when they first rescued him. Thor states, "We all know who's in charge," insinuating that Star Lord no longer has the command of the group.

Star Lord does try to track down 2014 Gamora, as he was devastated by the loss of Gamora in Infinity War.

Hulk does not join the group, instead helping Captain American return the Infinity Stones to their respective times.

Valkyrie stays on New Asgard, after Thor tells her that she is the leader of the Asgardians now.
