Where does Heimdall keep them beforehand? Hint

Question 5 of 10
5. All hell breaks loose in the Asgard dungeons when Kurse breaks free of his cell as well as freeing all the other Marauders and criminals incarcerated there. Question 6 of 10
6. After Frigga is fatally wounded and before Malekith and Kurse make their escape, Thor manages to land a thunderous blow to the Dark Elf leader. Sending a blast of lightning at Malekith, Thor manages to permanently scar and blacken one part of his face, as a callback to the odd blue and black skin colour Malekith had in the comics. But which part of Malekith's face did Thor manage to scar? Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. Thor desperately needs to free Jane from the Aether that is slowly draining her life, and enlists the aid of Loki, the Warriors Three, Sif and a huge Dark Elf ship to escape from Asgard and get to Svartlfheim in one piece. Along the way, Fandral helps Thor on the waters beside the Bifrost and decides to stall the guardships coming after Thor by hijacking them. Before he leaves though, he offers what parting words? Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. Thor and Loki have battled and defeated Kurse and a small troop of Dark Elves. But it isn't without a casualty. Loki is gravely wounded and is dying. Having said his final goodbyes, Loki closes his eyes and appears to have breathed his last, and Thor and Jane make good their escape back to Earth. Of course, Loki was fooling them the whole time, and when Asgardian guards come to find the brothers, Loki shapeshifts into one as a means to get back safely to Asgard. We get a good look at the Guard/Loki, but where have we seen that face before? Hint

Question 9 of 10

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. We are greeted at the beginning with a great fight scene between the Asgardians and their foe, the Dark Elves of Svartlfheim. Borr, the then Asgardian leader, secured victory and locked the Aether away where no-one can find it. Growing up, what name would Thor and Loki have called Borr?

Answer: Grandfather

Borr, the father of Odin and husband of the goddess Bestla, has an unclear role in the Norse mythology, and is portrayed by Tony Curran in the film. Seen wielding the spear Gungnir as he makes his entrance in the battlefield, Borr wears a helmet that is typical of common Viking helm interpretations, with two curved horns protruding from the sides.
2. During Loki's trial, Odin sentences Loki to life-long imprisonment, neglecting him of the right to ever talk to his mother again. Odin also mentions Thor and says that Loki's brother is striving to bring peace to the Nine Realms, of which we visit five over the course of the film. We visit Asgard, Vanaheim, Svartlfheim, Jotunheim, and what other?

Answer: Midgard

The Nine Realms of Norse Mythology are Asgard, Midgard (Earth), Hel (or Utgard), Vanaheim, Svartlfheim, Muspellheim, Alfheim, Niflheim, and Jotunheim. All connected through the world tree Yggdrasil, these realms were believed by the ancient Scandinavians to be the realms that make up the universe. Home to beings such as the Dwarves, Dark Elves, Aesir, Jotuns, and Vanir, the diversity between the nine worlds is apparent, from the fiery lava pits of Muspellheim to the icy wastes of Jotunheim to the biting winds of Niflheim.
3. During Thor's liberation of Vanaheim from the marauders, he comes face to face with a foe that he eliminates in one swift move. Recognisable by die-hard fans as Thor's foe from his very first comic issue, these monsters are known as what?

Answer: Kronans

First featured in the very first Thor comic, 'Journey into Mystery', the Kronans are also known as the Stone Men from Saturn. Able to produce illusions, such as a dragon, their bodies are made of a silicon-like substance rendering them almost impervious to all physical damage. That resistance obviously doesn't stop Mjolnir though, as demonstrated by Thor in the film!
4. The Dark Elves awaken from their millennia-long sleep and invade Asgard. Having not been able to 'see' them coming, Heimdall quickly springs to action on the Bifrost and manages to single-handedly destroy one of the invading ships with the help of his two knives. Where does Heimdall keep them beforehand?

Answer: Strapped to his lower back

Not seen or used in the comics, Heimdall's knives are used to great effect in the film, but in more close-quartered fights, he relies on his sword Hofund. An enchanted sword, it allows him to call down cosmic blue fire onto his enemies, and allows him to disguise himself as a human when he goes down to Earth.
5. All hell breaks loose in the Asgard dungeons when Kurse breaks free of his cell as well as freeing all the other Marauders and criminals incarcerated there. Yet upon reaching Loki's cell, the two exchange stares, intimidating Kurse enough to leave Loki alone. As he walks away, what message does Loki give Kurse?

Answer: ''You might want to take the stairs to the left.''

The stairs in question would have taken Kurse straight to the throne room, via the room where Frigga was engaged in a knife fight with Malekith. Loki would've wanted Kurse's target to have been Odin, but unbeknownst to him, it was Frigga who's life ended. Simply by this statement, Loki inadvertently seals the fate of his mother, resulting in his eventual breakdown and vengeance-filled vendetta for the rest of his time in the film.

Answer: Whole right half

Very different to his movie counterpart, comic Malekith was a more colourful and flamboyant Dark Elf, garbed in his red and black tunic. He often conspired with Loki and the fire demon Surtur, and in the movie, the audience is led to believe that Loki has conspired with Malektih but we learn quickly that it was all a trick made up by Thor and Loki.

As a harken back to the Nordic roots of Thor, Malekith also has the ability to summon the Wild Hunt, an ancient Germanic myth that featured dead faeries and huntsmen in pursuit of something in the skies.

Answer: ''For Asgard.''

Fandral, portrayed here by Zachary Levi, is adept at fighting with a rapier and is renowned as one of the biggest womaniser in Asgard. Him, Volstagg, and Hogun make up the Warriors Three, fighters who are formidable in battle and are Thor's closest friends. Their resentment for Loki is quite obvious, yet Fandral remains the most subtle in his scathing remarks.

Answer: Loki shapeshifts into him in an earlier scene with Thor.

During the hilarious scene that features a cameo of Captain America, Loki first exercises his magical freedom by shapeshifting into an Asgardian guard (called an Einherjar). Using this disguise again after his 'death', Loki manages to secure a way back to Asgard and work his last act of mischief on the unsuspecting Odin, by taking his place on the Asgardian throne!
9. Thor faces Malekith in one final showdown in Greenwich, with the Convergence happening at the same time. Cue lots of portal mishaps and realm jumping, and Thor finds himself miles away at one of the many stations of the London Underground Network. He asks a woman how to get to Greenwich, to which she replies, ''Take this train, three stops.'' Which Underground station has Thor found himself at?

Answer: Charing Cross

In this instance, the filmmakers got it terribly wrong! A direct ride from Charing Cross to Greenwich is technically impossible, as both sit on two completely different lines! Charing Cross Station sits on the Bakerloo line (the brown one on a London underground map) whilst Greenwich Station sits on the DLR line (the light blue/teal on the map).

As can be expected, viewers familiar with the London underground network would have definitely face-palmed!
10. After the mid-credits scene featuring a new threat to the many heroes of Marvel, waiting through the credit crawl presented those who stayed with a light-hearted scene featuring Jane back home on Earth. Thor appears and the two embrace and share in a loving kiss, interrupting Jane's morning breakfast. Although, which specific cereal is she eating?

Answer: Shreddies

Saved what I thought would be the toughest until last! Fun Fact: That isn't really Natalie Portman kissing Chris Hemsworth, in-fact it is Chris' own wife Elsa Pataky! They stuck a brunette wig on her and made sure the camera angles concealed her face, and voila!
