Answer: Mark Hamill

Hamill, born on September 25th, 1951 in Concord, CA was cast as Luke Skywalker. Luke was first seen when his Uncle Owen asked him to clean up two droids that had just come onto their farm. Luke wanted to go to the academy, since he did not like working on his uncle's farm. Luke listened to a recording that R2-D2 played him of Princess Leia asking for Obi-Wan Kenobi's help. Luke sought Obi Wan and he gave Luke a few lessons on the ways of the force. Luke and Obi-Wan persuaded Han Solo to give them a ride on the Millennium Falcon, to go Princess Leia's aid.

At the end of the film, Luke was awarded a medal for his bravery in helping destroy The Death Star. Hamill reprised his role of Luke Skywalker in "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi".

He also starred in the film, "Midnight Ride".

Answer: Carrie Fisher

Fisher, a native of Los Angeles, CA, landed the part of Princess Leia. Princess Leia was a member of The Rebel Alliance and they had plans to blow up The Death Star. Right before Princess Leia was captured by Darth Vader's men, she hid the plans in R2-D2 and delivered a message to Obi-Wan Kenobi, asking him for his help. Darth Vader told Princess Leia she would be released if she told him where the plans were located. Princess Leia refused to cooperate. Midway through the film, she gave the wrong location of where the rebel base was.

However, Princess Leia's home planet of Alderaan was blown up anyway. At one point, Luke, Leia, Han and Chewbacca were in a garbage compacter that was about to squish them to death, but R2-D2 managed to stop this from happening. Fisher reprised the role of Princess Leia for "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi".

She was also in the film, "The Women".

Answer: Harrison Ford

Ford, born in 1942 in Chicago, Illinois, portrayed Han Solo in "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope". Han Solo was first seen when Luke and Obi Wan asked him to help get them a ship that would take them to Alderaan. Han agreed to take them to Leia aboard the Millennium Falcon.

While aboard the ship, R2-D2 and Chewbacca played chess and Han told C-3P0 that wookies were known to destroy a droids' arms, so C-3P0 told R2-D2 to let Chewbacca win if that was the case. While Han and the others were on the Death Star, they realized Princess Leia had been targeted for execution, so Luke volunteered to rescue her. Leia and Han bickered back and forth in the movie but they managed to stay on good terms. Ford reprised his role of Han Solo in "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi".

He was also in the movie, "Blade Runner".

Answer: Anthony Daniels

Anthony Daniels got the part of C-3P0. The first line of dialogue spoken in the movie was by C-3P0, when he and R2-D2 were on the rebel ship being attacked by the Alliance. Right after Princess Leia was captured, C-3P0 and R2-D2 escaped in a pod and landed in a desert.

They both made it to Luke's place where he lived with Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru. Later, on the Death Star, when Luke, Leia, Han and Chewbacca were stuck in the garbage compactor, C-3P0 answered Luke's calls for help via the com-link and C-3P0 told R2-D2 to shut down the compactor. Daniels guest starred on the TV series', "Doctors", "Holby City" and "Singles".

Answer: Shelagh Fraser

Fraser, born on November 25th, 1922 in Surrey, England played Aunt Beru. Aunt Beru was married to Luke's Uncle Owen and loved him dearly. She tended to their farm and also did other chores, like cooking. Aunt Beru suspected that Luke was not made to be a farmer and that he had a lot of his father in him, which worried Uncle Owen.

When Luke met with Obi Wan Kenobi, he came upon a destroyed Jawas' ship and realized they were the same Jawas who sold him his two droids, which made him think his aunt and uncle were in danger. Luke headed home to check on both Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru as he feared the worst.

When Luke went to see his aunt and uncle, they were dead. Fraser guest starred on the TV series', "The Professionals", "Heartbeat", and "Shadows".

She died on September 13th, 2000 in London, at the age of 77.

Answer: Phil Brown

Brown, a native of Cambridge, Massachusetts, was cast in the role of Luke's Uncle Owen. Owen was the stepbrother of Anakin Skywalker, who became known as Darth Vader when he joined the dark side of the force. Owen raised Luke from a child, in order to keep him away from his dangerous father. From what Luke knew, his father had died and Owen decided to not tell him the real truth about his father.

It turned out that Owen never had the chance to inform Luke that Darth Vader was his father, since Owen and his wife, Beru, were burned to death. Brown had guest starring stints on the TV series', "The Martian Chronicles", "Tales of the Unexpected", and "The Protectors".

He passed away on February 9th, 2006 in Los Angeles at the age of 89.

Answer: David Prowse

Prowse, born in 1935 in Bristol, England, portrayed Darth Vader in "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope". Darth Vader took Princess Leia captive when he realized that she was a member of The Rebel Alliance, which had plans to blow up The Death Star. Leia refused to cooperate so he held her in a cell.

At one point, Darth Vader sensed that Obi-Wan Kenobi was nearby and the two ended up in a fight. At the end of the fight, Obi-Wan allowed Darth Vader to kill him. Prowse reprised his role as Darth Vader in "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi".

He was also in the movie, "Callan".

Answer: Alec Guinness

Guinness landed the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi for this installment of the "Star Wars" film series. Obi-Wan Kenobi once served with Anakin Skywalker in The Clone Wars and Leia made mention of this in her message to him, that she she sent via R2-D2 had. When Luke first met Obi-Wan, Obi-Wan did not initially tell him who he was, but then he did admit that he was Obi-Wan Kenobi. Luke mentioned that Obi Wan also went by the name of Ben Kenobi.

When Obi-Wan Kenobi fought with Darth Vader, he was killed when he put down his lightsaber. Guinness had roles in the films, "Little Dorrit", "A Handful of Dust" and "Lovesick".

In 1958, Guinness won an Academy Award for Best Lead Actor in a Motion Picture for his work in the film, "The Bridge on the River Kwai".

Other Oscar nominees for Best Lead Actor in a Motion Picture that year were Anthony Franciosa for "A Hatful of Rain", Marlon Brando for "Sayonara", Anthony Quinn for "Wild is the Wind" and Charles Laughton for "Witness for the Prosecution".

Answer: Peter Mayhew

Mayhew, born on May 19th, 1944 in Barnes, England was cast as Chewbacca, the friendly wookie. Chewbacca always protected Han Solo but he also became friends with Luke, Obi Wan, C-3P0 and R2-D2. When all of them landed on The Death Star to rescue Princess Leia, Luke came up with the idea to escort Chewbacca as a prisoner, to help find Princess Leia.

The plan worked since Luke found Leia and told her he was there to rescue her. When Leia awarded medals to Han and Luke at the end of the movie, Chewbacca was on hand to congratulate both of them on a job well done. Mayhew reprised his role as Chewbacca in "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi".

He was also in the movie, "Yesterday Was a Lie".

Answer: Peter Cushing

Cushing, a native of Surrey, England, played General Grand Moff Tarkin for "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope". Tarkin was the one whom Leia said "held Vader's leash". Tarkin approached Leia about giving up the name of the system where the rebel base, that had plans to eradicate The Death Star, was. Tarkin told Leia that, if she did not name the location of the rebel base, he would blow up her home planet of Alderaan. Leia gave Tarkin the name of the location where the rebel base was but Tarkin ordered Alderaan to be destroyed anyway.

It later turned out that Leia had given the wrong location and had not betrayed the Rebellion. Cushing was also in the films, "Shock Waves", "Son of Hitler" and "Top Secret!"
