1. I was in the opening scene when I went fishing with Smeagol. I found the one ring but was not able to keep it for long. Who played me?

Answer: Thomas Robins

Robins, a native of New Zealand, took on the short term role of Deagol. Deagol was only in the opening scene, when he fished in a lake with Smeagol. A fish caught his fishing line and dragged Deagol into the lake. It was at the bottom of the lake where Deagol found the one ring. Smeagol told Deagol to give it to him since it was his birthday. Deagol refused, so Smeagol attacked and killed him.

It ought to be noted that Deagol found the ring AFTER both Sauron and Isildur had it. Robins' only other acting credits were in the movie, "Forgotten Silver", and in the New Zealand television series, "Seven Periods with Mr. Gormsby".

Answer: John Noble

Noble, born on August 20th, 1948, in Port Pirie, Australia took on the role of Denethor. Denethor was the father of Boromir and Faramir. Gandalf went to speak to Denthor and Pippin came along with him. Gandalf warned Pippin to not mention Boromir or Frodo and the ring to him. Pippin told Denethor that Boromir tried to take the ring from Frodo before he died. During a battle, Denethor thought that his son, Faramir, had died.

He decided to have Faramir and himself burned. Pippin realized that Faramir was alive and tried to stop Denethor from burning him alive but Denethor's men escorted Pippin away. Pippin went and got Gandalf and told him what Denethor was about to do. Gandalf went with Pippin and they both rescued Faramir, while Denethor burned alive. Denethor ran out and off of a cliff to his death. Noble had guest starring roles in the TV series', "24", "The Unit" and "Stargate SG-1".

Answer: Miranda Otto

Otto, born in 1967 in Australia, portrayed Eowyn in this installment of "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy (she was also in "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers"). Eowyn was advised not to fight, but she decided to help out the army that her uncle and several others put together to go up against the Army of Mordor. Eowyn had Merry assist her in the fighting and at one point she came in between the Naz-gul and Merry. Eowyn fought with the Naz-gul and the Naz-gul told her that no man could kill him. Eowyn took off her mask and revealed she was a woman.

She stabbed the Naz-gul and it died. Otto was seen in the films, "War of the World", "Doctor Sleep" and "The Thin Red Line".

Boyd had the role of Peregrin Took in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy and had the nickname of Pippin. Pippin, Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli and Merry made their way to Edoras. It was here that Pippin looked into a palantir and got scared. Gandalf covered the palantir with a blanket and got it out of the room.

He then exclaimed, "Fool of a Took!" to Pippin. During the battle at Minis Tirith, Gandalf told Pippin to go since that battle was no place for a hobbit. Pippin said goodbye to Frodo at the end when Frodo left on a boat to be with Bilbo. Boyd had parts in the films, "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World", "Glenn" and "On a Clear Day".

Answer: Karl Urban

Urban, a native of New Zealand, played Eomer in "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" (he was also in "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers"). In the previous installment of the trilogy, Eomer was exiled by Grima Wormtongue from Rohan. While he was exiled, he met up with Aragorn, Gandalf, Gimli and Legolas and this helped get Grima Wormtongue banished from Rohan.

In "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King", Eomer continued to fight against Sauron's forces. He survived and continued to be great friends with Gimli, Gandalf, Aragorn and Legolas.

He also always had a great relationship with his sister, Eowyn. Urban had guest starring stints on the TV series', "Xena: Warrior Princess", "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" and "Shark in the Park".
6. I enjoyed being Sam and Rosie's first child. Who played me?

Answer: Alexandra Astin

Astin, born on November 27th, 1996 in California, had the small role of Elanor Gamgee. Elanor was Sam's first child with his wife, Rosie, and she appeared at the end of the movie during Sam and Rosie's wedding. Elanor was seen smiling and standing beside her parents when they exchanged their vows. Elanor looked on when Rosie tossed her bouquet and it landed in Pippin's hands.

She had no lines of dialogue in this film. Astin's first acting credit was as Elanor in "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King".

She is the real life daughter of Sean Astin, who played Samwise Gamgee in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

Phillips, born in 1951 in Wellington, New Zealand portrayed Grimbold. Grimbold was seen in a meeting with Theoden and Gamling to develop a strategy on an upcoming battle. When Theoden asked Grimbold how many men he had for the battle, Grimbold responded that there were 500 of his men from the Westfold.

At this meeting, Grimbold heard Gamling tell Theoden that he could provide 300 men from Fenmarch. Phillips guest starred in the TV series', "A Twist in the Tale", "Seven Periods with Mr. Gormsby" and "Power Rangers R.P.M."

Answer: Marton Csokas

Csokas reprised his role of Celeborn, since he was previously in "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring". At the end of the film, Celeborn was seen with his wife, Galadriel, when she informed Frodo that the power of the three rings had ended. Celeborn got on a ship with Galadriel and a couple others to go to Valinor.

He had no lines of dialogue in this movie. Csokas was in the films, "The Monkey's Mask", "Hurrah" and "Twilight of the Gods".

Bach, born on June 5th, 1946 in Wales reprised his role of Madril, having first played the part in "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers". Madril was one of the Rangers of Ithilien and was an advisor and second-in-command to Faramir on missions to Ithilien and Osgiliath.

In one scene in "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King", Madril was hurt while he retreated from Osgiliath. He was eventually killed by Gothmog during the retreat to Minas Tirith. Bach had guest starring stints on the TV shows, "The Lost Children", "Farscape" and "High Tide".

Hopkins, a native of Invercargill, New Zealand reprised his role of Gamling, having first played the part in "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers". Gamling was seen talking to Theoden about the armies of Mordor and both of them concluded they could not defeat them, but would still fight them anyways. Gamling was in charge of those who defended Helm's Deep with one of the fighters being his own grandson. During a discussion with Theoden and Grimbold, Gamling told both of them that no riders from Snowbourne had arrived to aid them in fighting the armies of Mordor.

At the end of the movie, Gamling was seen right beside Eomer as Aragorn was crowned king. Hopkins starred in the movies, "Point Annihilation", "This Is Not a Love Story" and "Flying".
