Dorfman, born on February 7th, 1993 in Los Angeles, California, was cast as Aidan Keller. Aidan was a troubled young boy and he often drew bizarre pictures. One interesting aspect about Aidan was that he always called his mother by her first name rather than "mom". Aidan frightened his mom, Rachel, when he informed her how he spoke to a deceased girl named Samara.

In the middle of the movie, Aidan watched a tape that caused its viewers to die seven days after they saw it. Right after he watched the tape, Rachel called Aidan's dad, Noah, to tell him what happened.

Despite his seeing the tape, Aidan survived. Dorfman reprised the role of Aidan in "The Ring 2". He also had guest starring stints on the TV shows "Joan of Arcadia" and "Ghost Whisperer".

Watts, a native of Shoreham, Kent, England, portrayed Rachel Keller in "The Ring". Rachel was a mom to her son, Aidan, and worked at a Seattle newspaper. She decided to investigate into the tape that Aidan's cousin, Katie, saw that caused her death. She went to a motel and found the tape in room 12. Rachel investigated some more and started to look at various pictures of those who had already seen the tape.

She noticed how their faces were blurred in the photos. She started to look up information on Samara Morgan, a deceased girl whom her son told her about one day.

In one scene, Rachel confronted Samara's father and he ended up electrocuting himself after Rachel accused him of killing Samara. At the end of the movie, Rachel got knocked into the same well in which Samara drowned.

She managed to make it out alive. Watts reprised her role of Rachel Keller in "The Ring 2". She also starred in Peter Jackson's "King Kong" and "I Heart Huckabees". In 2004, she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role for the film "21 Grams." However, she lost to Charlize Theron of "Monster".

Henderson, born in 1974 in Auckland, New Zealand, played Noah Clay in "The Ring". Noah helped Rachel in learning more about Samara's mother, Anna Morgan, and went to the mental hospital where Anna was treated. When he got there, he tried to get her medical records but they would not release them for privacy reasons.

Despite Noah saying she had been dead for years and likely would not mind, they refused to release them to Noah. In one scene, Noah and Rachel went out to the barn where Samara slept and they ripped off the wall paper. Once they did, they broke down the wall and noticed a well on the other side.

After Rachel slipped into the well, Noah called for help and she was rescued. In one of Noah's final scenes, he played the video tape that Aidan had seen and noticed Samara coming towards him. Samara climbed through the television set and cornered Noah into a chair.

In Noah's last scene, Rachel turned the chair around and noticed he was dead. Henderson guest starred on the TV shows "House M.D.", "Home and Away" and "Mr. and Mrs. Smith".

Chase won the part of Samara Morgan. Samara was a deceased girl but her ghost haunted Aidan after he had seen a strange videotape which killed its viewers seven days after they saw it. Samara got treated at a mental hospital and we saw a tape where she was in a session with her psychiatrist.

In the tape, Samara told her doctor she wanted to go home but he said she could not until he could figure out what was wrong with her. We also learned that Samara's family doctor was Dr. Grasnik. Cox, born on June 1st, 1946 in Dundee, Scotland, was cast as Richard Morgan. Richard was married to Anna Morgan and did not like how she got pregnant and then miscarried. They both agreed to adopt a baby girl and did so when they adopted Samara. Rachel found out where Richard lived and went to talk to him.

She watched a tape at Richard's home and became convinced that Richard killed his daughter. Richard yelled that his wife was not supposed to have a child. He went up the stairs and Rachel followed him.

He got into a bathtub full of water and had an electrical outlet in his hand. He dropped the outlet into the bathtub and electrocuted himself. Immediately after this, Noah found Rachel at Richard's home. Cox starred in the films "Manhunter", "Chain Reaction" and "Braveheart".

Answer: Shannon Cochran

Cochran, a native of Greensboro, North Carolina, landed the role of Anna Morgan. Anna was first seen in a video that Rachel watched. In the video, Anna was brushing her hair but then Rachel was stunned to see Anna go over a cliff. Rachel dug deeper into Anna's past and discovered that she was treated at a mental hospital right after she miscarried.

While Rachel was in the well, she saw visions of how Anna killed Samara. In the vision, Samara was out by the well and Anna, in a psychotic state, smothered Samara to death and tossed her into the well. Cochran guest starred on the TV shows "Numb3rs", "Close to Home", and "Grey's Anatomy".

Alexander, born in 1939 in Boston, Massachusetts, had the small role of Dr. Grasnik. Rachel learned that Dr. Grasnik was not only Samara's doctor but also Richard and Anna's doctor as well. When Rachel went to talk to her about Samara, Dr. Grasnik told her about the many troubling events that took place while Samara was alive.

She made the remark of how things got better now that Samara was dead. She not only told Rachel about Samara but about the troubled relationship between Anna and Richard Morgan. Alexander starred in the movies "Terminator Salvation", "The Cider House Rules" and "Glory".

In 1980, she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for the film "Kramer vs. Kramer". However, she lost to her co-star, Meryl Streep, who won the award for her portrayal of Joanna Kramer.

Bella played Becca Kotler in a small role. Becca and Katie were in the opening scene and discussed the video where people died seven days after they viewed it. Katie showed Becca the video but Becca would not watch it. Katie had just watched that video seven days ago and she died. Tamblyn, born on May 14th, 1983 in Santa Monica, California, was cast as Katie Embry. Katie and her friend, Becca, hung out one night and were watching television. After they both talked about the videotape, Katie pretended that she was choking and this scared Becca.

However, Becca was relieved when Katie revealed she was just faking it. A couple of minutes later, Katie went up to her room and her face disintegrated and revealed her skeleton. She died and her funeral was shown shortly after this opening scene. Tamblyn guest starred on the TV show "CSI: Miami" in 2002.

She is best known for her portrayal of Joan Girardi on the primetime series "Joan of Arcadia". From 1995 to 2000, she played Emily Quartermaine on the ABC soap opera "General Hospital".

Thigpen, a native of Jamaica, played Aidan's teacher in one scene. At the beginning of the movie, Aidan's teacher met with his mom, Rachel, to talk to her about concerns she had about Aidan.
