1. "Hot for Teacher"

This 1984 hit may have been loved by teens, but it was hated by many parents who felt that the song encouraged promiscuity. The video featured some lovely looking bikini-clad babes. I can assure you that the females featured in the video did not look like your average high school algebra teacher.
2. "Graduation Day"

The Four Freshman toured for over 50 years and wrote much of their own music. One of these songs was "Graduation Day" which they released in 1956. It is a song of reminiscence and nostalgia.
3. "School Girl"
Answer: The Five Royales
Released in 1955, this doo-wop song painted an idealized picture of the high school girl as a young goddess. This was one of The Five Royales bigger hits, but never did make the top of the charts. It is a fine example of the romanticized view of the world, that was depicted on television, the movies, and in music, of the period.
4. "Smokin' In The Boy's Room"

This rock classic from 1973 explains to listener how smoking in the boys' bathroom will help you not to get caught. 5. "School Day"

This Chuck Berry hit song is sometimes listed as "School Days". It described high school as boring drudgery. It portrays high school as a task that must be completed, but not one that will be enjoyable. This has been the view of many teenagers for decades.
6. "High School Confidential"

This 1958 hit from Jerry Lee Lewis is the theme song to a movie of the same name. The movie was a crime drama about the underground drug world in high schools around the U.S. While many teens loved the song, and the movie, many parents did not.
7. "School's Out"

Written and recorded by rock legend Alice Cooper, this 1972 hit became one of Cooper's signature songs. He explained he was trying to get across to his listeners, the excitement that is felt by students around the world on the last day of school. The last day of school, may be looked at by some people as the last day of childhood.

This 1972 track was one of the first hits for Paul Simon after he and his musical partner Art Garfunkel broke up. It is a song about juvenile delinquency. The singer and his friend are arrested, although the exact transgression is never mentioned.
10. "Be True to Your School"
Answer: The Beach Boys
"Be True to Your School" (1963) was written by band members Brian Wilson and Mike Love. It uses part of the melody found in the Wilson brothers High School fight song. The song was also released in 1985 by the group Jan and Dean.
