Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In "Venus as a Boy", on the "Debut" album, "he's exploring" what?

Answer: the taste of her

This song is found on Bjork's first widely released solo album. It can also be found on her "Greatest Hits" album.
2. In the song "Isobel", on the "Post" album, what is the second thing Bjork says is like her?

Answer: A creature called lust

This song was also featured on the "Telegram" album, which included various remixes of Bjork's songs, including "Possibly Maybe" and "Hyper Ballad".
3. In the song "Possibly Maybe", on the "Post" album, what has Bjork been doing since they broke up?

Answer: Wearing lipstick again

One of my favorite Bjork songs! And if you're a Bjork lover too, then you've probably noticed that when "Nocturnal State" comes on, on VH1, this is the introductory song.
4. Who is the hunter in the song "Hunter", on the "Homogenic" album?

Answer: She is

This song was the first Bjork songs that I ever heard, as a child, watching T.V. and seeing the commercials for Bjork's "Greatest Hits" album. When they played this song in the advertisement, they would show the part of the music video where Bjork is a computerized bear.
5. What does Bjork want to melt like in the song "Aurora", found on the "Vespertine" album?

Answer: Snow

You often hear Bjork singing about snow, and cold. Not surprising as she's from Iceland.
6. In "Unison", found on the "Vespertine" album, how was Bjork born?

Answer: Stubborn

In this song, the discipliner is the person Bjork is singing to or about, hermit style is how Bjork thrives best, and Bjork says she "never thought she would compromise" but she didn't say she was born that way.
7. What does Bjork say "enough is enough" for in "Where is the Line", on the "Medulla" album?

Answer: Being elastic

"Medulla" is my favorite Bjork album! No instruments were used in making this album, only human beings, including beats supplied by hip hop master beatboxer Rahzele, amongst others.
8. In the song, "Triumph of a Heart", on the "Medulla" album, what is heading up towards her kidneys, from her stubborn trunks?

Answer: Her favorite fuel

The video for this song is hilarious. Bjork's significant other is a human size cat, which seems very odd, but Bjork is not afraid to be different.
9. In the song "Declare Independence" found on the "Volta" album, what two things does Bjork want you to take to the highest mountain?

Answer: A flag and trumpet

In this song, in addition to taking a flag and a trumpet to the highest mountain, Bjork wants you to "wave your flag, higher, higher"!
10. In "Vertebrae by Vertebrae", on the "Volta" album, what does Bjork want to be released from herself?

Answer: Pressure

The music from this song is initially heard on the "Drawing Restraint 9" film soundtrack, without lyrics.
