Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the only non-live track to be issued on two different regular studio albums under the same name? (Hint: Not a bonus track or remix, and not a compilation album.)

Answer: Seven Seas of Rhye

Written by Freddie, an early short version of "Seven Seas" appears on Queen's debut album, while the finished track features on Queen II. The second incarnation was released as a single 23 Feb 1974 and reached number ten on the UK charts.
2. Which of these Queen songs includes a swear word?

Answer: Son and Daughter

Son and Daughter appears on Queen's debut album. Written by the always offensive Brian May (ha ha). They cleaned it up a bit for the version recorded for the BBC as well as when played live. The offensive words were replaced by "shovel IT".
3. On which album does the last song to speak of medieval folklore appear?

Answer: A Night At The Opera

The dragons and fairies all flew away after "The Prophet's Song" (May) from "A Night at the Opera". "Princes of the Universe" from "A Kind of Magic" almost comes close, but doesn't really go there, girlfriend. Not the same way it did in the early days.
4. What song does not contain the word "blow" or "blows"?

Answer: Ride The Wild Wind

"Back Chat": Freddie says "blow" right before the guitar solo. "Get Down Make Love": "I suck your mind, you blow my head". "Bohemian Rhapsody": "Any way the wind blows". But there is no mention of "blowing" in a song about wind. Even though the song itself kinda' does blow.
5. In the version of "Modern Times Rock 'n' Roll" heard on "At The Beeb", what line replaces "Yeah listen to me baby let me tell you what it's all about."

Answer: Not that I'm bright just happy go lucky

I never could decipher this line until I read it somewhere on the Internet. I always thought it was a weird quote from "A Clockwork Orange" or something. Who actually speaks the line is still unclear to me. I'm thinking Roger?
6. On which song from "At The Beeb" does Roger sing lead on the last verse (normally sung by Freddie on the album version)?

Answer: Doin' Alright

Always loved this song, any version. Actually written by Brian May and Tim Staffell, (a keeper from the "Smile" days) and not Freddie as I once assumed. But Freddie's vocal is much better than Staffell's IMHO.
7. Fill in the blank to this lyric: "You call me sweet like I'm some kind of ______?"

Answer: cheese

From the song "Sweet Lady" (May) from "A Night At The Opera". One of Brian's more bizarre lyrics...
8. Which song's lyric body does NOT contain words in a foreign language?

Answer: Bijou

"Las Palabras" has spanish lyrics "Despacito mi amor", "Teo Torriatte" has an entire chorus in Japanese, "Mustapha" has Arabic throughout, but "Bijou" contains no French lyrics in the body of the song apart from the title itself (which means jewel).
9. On "Live Killers", just before performing "'39", Brian associates Freddie with which of the following?

Answer: maracas

"On maracas and sometimes vocals, Mr. Freddie Mercury." (Applause) "Follow that!"
I'll take "Live Killers" any day over "Live At Wembley '86".
10. In the song "More of that Jazz", which song is NOT sampled near the end?

Answer: Jealousy

The song snippets sampled are "Dead On Time", "Bicycle Race", "Mustapha", "If You Can't Beat 'Em", "Fat Bottomed Girls" and "Fun It".
