Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Five Iron Frenzy's first album was a three-song vinyl record with this title.

Answer: It's Funny, but Not Very Creative

All three songs on this record were also on their first CD, "Upbeats and Beatdowns". These songs are "A Flowery Song", "Third World Think Tank", and "Everywhere I Go". They happen to be the last three songs on the CD.
2. The song "Rhubarb Pie" has the same music as which other Five Iron Frenzy song, just with different lyrics?

Answer: Ugly Day

The "Rhubarb Pie" lyrics were test lyrics for the song "Ugly Day". "Rhubarb Pie" eventually found its way onto the album "Cheeses...".
3. Track "0" (zero) on the album "All The Hype That Money Can Buy" is called "What's Up", but what is it?

Answer: A hidden song at the beginning of the album

Ah yes, the infamous track "0", titled "What's Up". It actually comes before "The Greatest Story Ever Told". This song of only a few seconds was quite interesting to find. You had to have a CD player that allowed you to hold the back button during track "1", and scan backwards until you reached it. Good luck with that now.

If you've never heard this song, here are the lyrics: "What's up".
4. What date is known as Five Iron Frenzy Day by fans, due to it being the date of Five Iron's "final" show in 2003, and also the date of their reunion announcement in 2011?

Answer: November 22

Five Iron Frenzy's planned "final show" was in Denver, Colorado on November 22nd, 2003 at the Fillmore Auditorium. This show was recorded, and the album "The End is Here" is a recording of that show.
5. What is the name of the bonus track on "The End is Near"? This track is only available on the "The End is Here" double disc version (green cover), not the single disc version (red cover). It actually says "bonus track" on the back cover.

Answer: The Cross of St. Andrew

If you already had "The End is Near", then you had to buy the album again if you wanted that bonus track, and the live recording. Sometimes it's just better to wait.
6. What album has the song "Kingdom of the Dinosaurs" hidden at the end?

Answer: Quantity is Job 1

There were a few recordings of "When I Go Out" before "Kingdom of the Dinosaurs", so you get two(ish) hidden songs for the price of none!
7. Which of these songs was written by Five Iron Frenzy?

Answer: To Astoria!

"To Astoria!" is the only one of these songs written by Five Iron Frenzy, and it appears on "Between Pavement and Stars" and "The Second Coming of Cheeses...".
8. What was Five Iron Frenzy's first song to be released after their 2003 breakup? It was released in conjunction with a reunion announcement, and a Kickstarter campaign for a new album.

Answer: It was a Dark and Stormy Night

"It was a Dark and Stormy Night" was released online at the same time as their Kickstarter campaign, and was eventually released on the album that was Kickstarted, "Engine of a Million Plots".
9. What song was usually played last at live shows between 1998 and 2003? (excluding any encores or worship songs.)

Answer: Every New Day

Fans knew that "Every New Day" was the last song, and you had clearly never been to a show before if you were requesting it to be played.
10. Finish this classic Five Iron Frenzy lyric: "Get out of my yard and give me my ____!"

Answer: chicken

The song is "You Probably Shouldn't Move Here", about the great state of Colorado.
11. "The End is Near" and "Engine of a Million Plots" have songs with very similar titles. What two words are in both song titles? The two words are the full name of one of the songs.

Answer: So Far

These songs are "So Far" from "Engine of a Million Plots", and "So Far, So Bad" from "The End is Near".
12. Because of its lyrics, this song was often mistitled "Nintendo" on the internet, but the song's actual title is never mentioned in the lyrics.

Answer: Milestone

You can still find this song as "Nintendo" if you do a lyrics search.
13. The traditional FIF logo, (with the second F being backwards), was modeled after what other band's logo?

Answer: Nine Inch Nails

Nine Inch Nails has been using the NIN logo since 1989.
14. Which band member is covering their face on the cover of "Five Iron Frenzy 2: Electric Boogaloo"?

Answer: Reese Roper

While Leanor has her hand up to her head, she is not covering her face. Reese is standing in the middle of the group with his hand over his face.
15. Out of these four choices, which was released last?

Answer: Until This Shakes Apart

"Until This Shakes Apart" was released in 2021.
"Between Pavement and Stars" was released in 2015.
