Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Frank Black: "Speedy Marie"

Answer: Teenager Of The Year

Frank and The Pixies are no longer together, but he has a plethora of albums he's done with The Catholics that are definitely worth a listen. Also, Kim Deal went on to The Breeders, who have released several albums that are fantastic as well.
2. Belle and Sebastian: "Like Dylan In The Movies"

Answer: If You're Feeling Sinister

Unfortunately, the cellist and female voice of the group, Isobel Campbell, left the band in 2002. Have not heard as of yet of any replacement.
3. Wilco: "Say You Miss Me"

Answer: Being There

Uncle Tupelo, the band that spawned Wilco, is re-releasing all of their old (and until recently, out of print) LP's in 2003. If you like Wilco, give Uncle Tupelo a listen.
4. The Flaming Lips: "Are You A Hypnotist?"

Answer: Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots

This album has been named on over 10 'Top 50 Albums of 2002' lists.
5. Badly Drawn Boy: "Stone On The Water"

Answer: The Hour Of The Bewilderbeast

'Stone On The Water' is my favorite track off of this LP; however, the whole album is very highly recommended.
6. The Pixies: "U-Mass"

Answer: Trompe Le Monde

This album tends to be forgotten because of the recent resurgance in popularity of "Surfer Rosa". It is a very, very solid LP.
7. Pavement: "Spit On A Stranger"

Answer: Terror Twilight

No more Pavement, but Stephen Malkmus' solo project (self-titled) is fantastic. Also, Scott Kannberg has a band called 'Preston School Of Industry' on Matador Records.
8. Spoon: "Stay Don't Go"

Answer: Kill The Moonlight

I don't know much about this band yet. This album was pushed on me by a friend, and now it's a favorite of mine.
9. Sleater-Kinney: "Light Rail Coyote"

Answer: One Beat

One of the most well-known female groups in the Indie circuit. The album 'One Beat' is a great buy.
10. Sebadoh: "No Way Out"

Answer: Bubble and Scrape

Like Sonic Youth and The Pixies, this band paved the way for a lot of the acts that are out today.
